NFL Week 8 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

It’s been an intriguing season in the NFL this year. We’re not even halfway into the season, and no undefeated teams are left in the league.

That’s pretty awesome.

Anyway, I’ve got three early bets for Week 8 before Week 7 kicks off. Let’s earn some +EV on our bets!

Early NFL Week 8 Best Bets

Atlanta Falcons vs. Tennessee Titans

The Atlanta Falcons have a tough matchup heading into Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. As 2.5-point underdogs, the Falcons have a higher probability of losing that game than winning.

Meanwhile, the Titans will get a bye week to better prepare for this game against the Falcons. The Titans can’t do anything that will hurt their odds heading into Week 8. But if the Falcons lose badly to the Buccaneers on the road, many bettors will shift focus to the Titans at home in Week 8.

Tennessee at -1 could move to -2 or even -3 by Sunday afternoon’s kick-off.

Bet: Titans -1 (-110)

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Jaguars have won three straight games. Although Trevor Lawrence is injured, it looks likely that he’ll play on Thursday night against the Saints.

When the Jaguars beat the Saints on the road on Thursday Night Football, their line against the Steelers will likely get higher. The Jaguars would have a four-game win streak and 1.5 weeks for Lawrence to heal up.

Meanwhile, in Week 7, the Steelers have the Rams on the road. They’re 3-point underdogs and are expected to lose to a Rams team that probably gave their best performance of the year last week against the Cardinals.

I’m comfortable taking the Jaguars at this number. I think it reaches -3.

Bet: Jaguars -1.5 (-110)

Houston Texans vs. Carolina Panthers

The Texans and Panthers are both on bye weeks. But the hype will be real between these two teams.

The comparisons will begin when Monday Night Football concludes for Week 8’s matchup between the top two rookies in the NFL Draft.

C.J. Stroud has looked tremendous with the Texans. His growth has been fun to watch. Meanwhile, Bryce Young has shown some signs as well. He has a great connection with Adam Thielen and will now have a new play-caller that should help him better adapt to the NFL level. Thomas Brown has two full weeks to implement his style of offense into Young. That should help.

So, with all the hype, you can expect the Over for this game to rise before the game.

Bet: Over 41.5 (-110)
