NFL Week 8 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Titans vs. Texans
The line movement this week for the Titans-Texans matchup would seem to imply Ryan Tannehill will not start. If so, rookie Malik Willis will make his first start for the Titans. This likely won't matter though as the Texans have been getting gashed on the ground, resulting in a league worst run defense DVOA. With this matchup, Derrick Henry could really get going and helps take some of the load off of the rookie.
Houston has struggled on both sides of the ball and through the first seven weeks of the season they sit dead last in overall DVOA. There are few, if any, matchup advantages to explain the current spread. Even if Tannehill isn't able to go, he isn't worth the three points to the spread that his uncertain status has moved it. Don't overthink this, Tennessee is the better team.
