NFL Week 8 Teaser Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points like 6, 6.5, or 7 in a direction that lowers risk.

Teaser Tips to Follow

  • Never Cross over 0
  • Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7.
  • Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or less.

Below are three teaser options for Week 8, along with my Best Bet.

NFL Week 8 Teaser Odds, Picks & Predictions

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Philadelphia Eagles from -7 to -1 vs. Washington Commanders

Ideally, you would like this line to be -7.5, but this still gives an excellent option for one or teaser legs.

Yes, the Eagles almost lost to these Commanders in Week 4 and had to go overtime to win. But I think that was a nice serving of humble pie, as the Eagles have been dominant ever since.

Since allowing a season 31 points to Washington, the Eagles’ defense has allowed more than 17 points in a single game, including one of the best offenses in the league, the Miami Dolphins.

Look for the Eagles to come out more focused and out for revenge to show that they are the top dog in the NFC East.

Kansas City Chiefs from -7 to -1 vs. Denver Broncos

Usually, I’d have no problem laying 7 against a bad Broncos team, but this is a bad spot for the Chiefs. This is a road-divisional game played in Denver, and two, this is a terrible look-ahead spot with a Germany trip next week against the Miami Dolphins.

Kansas City should be able to sneak out a win, but either way, I think this is a one-score game.

Dallas Cowboys from -6 to PK vs. Los Angeles Rams

Typically, when playing teasers, you want to go through two key numbers; with this line being at 6, we cannot do this, but Dallas still has value at a PK.

The Cowboys will have the rest advantage by coming off their bye week, while the Rams are off a physical loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Los Angeles Chargers from -8.5 to -2.5 vs. Chicago Bears

The Chargers are coming off back-to-back losses and are in a desperate spot for a win.

The Bears upset the Las Vegas Raiders last week with undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent. Bagent went 21/29 with one touchdown and no interceptions. Surprisingly enough, the undrafted QB had 0 TWP (turnover-worthy plays), according to PFF.com.

This week may be a bit different. There is now a full game of film of Bagent, and this Chargers defense is a step up from the Raiders he saw last week.

While it is hard to trust the Chargers at times, they have a substantial edge in all facets of the game. There is no reason Justin Herbert and the Chargers can’t win by more than a field goal at home.
