NFL Week 8 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2023)
Weâre nearly to the halfway point of the 2023 NFL regular season, as Week 8 is upon us. And while itâs still just October, there will be a chill in the air for some outdoor games, and maybe even a hint of that white stuff in Colorado.
All 32 NFL teams will be in action this week, and no one has any bye weeks. There are also no games overseas, either, with 10 of the 15 games scheduled for Sunday and Monday being played out in the elements.
Letâs look at the Week 8 weather report.

NFL Week 8 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2023)
(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com)
New Orleans Saints (-1.5) at Indianapolis Colts, Total 43.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.
We get a rematch of Super Bowl XLIV between these two indoor teams, and the Saints get to experience the Gardner Minshew experience at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers, Total 41.5
Forecast: 63 degrees, 75% chance of showers
Wind speed: 6-8 MPH
The Jaguars head to the Steel City for the first time since an AFC Divisional Playoff Game on Jan. 14, 2018, an epic 45-42 victory by Jacksonville. It was freezing cold that day, but it will be soggy, but very mild for this time of year.
Houston Texans (-3) at Carolina Panthers, Total 43.5
Forecast: 79 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 7-9 MPH
The temperature will be very toasty for late October in the Tar Heel state. We also get a matchup between the top two picks in the 2023 NFL Draft with Texans QB C.J. Stroud and Panthers QB Bryce Young.
Philadelphia Eagles (-6) at Washington Commanders, Total 43.5
Forecast: 75 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 7-9 mph
The Eagles roll into the capital for this NFC East battle, and the weather will be very warm for this time of the year. Weâll have some clouds, but we should have a dry, fast track.
Los Angeles Rams at Dallas Cowboys (-6.5), Total 45
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.
The Cowboys defense will try and lock down the pass attack of the Rams with the great one-two punch of WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in a controlled environment.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (-9.5), Total 46.5
Forecast: 83 degrees, 40% chance of showers
Wind speed: 14-17 MPH
One of the worst weather spots might be in South Florida, with a steady shower and possible thunderstorms throughout most of the game. There will also be a stiff wind, which might seriously affect the pass and kick games.
New York Jets (-3) at New York Giants, Total 36.5
Forecast: 61 degrees, 40% chance of showers
Wind speed: 6-8 MPH
The Giants are at home, and that can only mean one thing: rain. There is a 35% chance of showers at kickoff, with the showers picking up all throughout the game, building to nearly 50% by the gameâs end. We should have a very slick track.
Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) at Tennessee Titans, Total 35.5
Forecast: 80 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 8-10 MPH
The Falcons head outdoors, which should be warm and summerlike in the Music City. The books expect a low-scoring game and a dry track should favor the running backs.
Minnesota Vikings (-1.5) at Green Bay Packers, Total 42.5
Forecast: 41 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 5-7 MPH
The Vikings head outdoors in the cool, crisp air. While we wonât necessarily have any precipitation, it will be cool and breezy but not too unbearable for these NFC North teams.
Cleveland Browns at Seattle Seahawks (-3.5), Total 38.5
Forecast: 48 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 5-7 MPH
We havenât had any weather problems at Lumen Field in Seattle so far this season, and Sundayâs game will be no exception. It will be a little cool but dry once again in the Pacific Northwest.
Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) at Denver Broncos, Total 45.5
Forecast: 27 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 5-7 MPH
The Chiefs head to the front range to battle the Broncos. The light snow is expected to taper off around 11 a.m. local time, but we could see some flurries with below-freezing temperatures.
Cincinnati Bengals at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5), Total 43.5
Forecast: 67 degrees, 20% chance of precipitation
Wind speed: 5-8 MPH
The Bengals could be catching a break in their visit to the Bay. First off, there will be no WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder), and QB Brock Purdy (concussion) is in the protocol and in danger of not being available. That could mean a start for QB Sam Darnold. At least the weather will be pleasant and dry, so expect a heavy dose of RB Christian McCaffrey.
Baltimore Ravens (-8.5) at Arizona Cardinals, Total 44.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson can be dangerous indoors, and the Cardinals will certainly have their hands full trying to track him and the Baltimore offense down. Just ask the Lions.
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Chargers (-8.5), Total 46.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.
What can undrafted free agent QB Tyson Bagent do for an encore on âSunday Night Footballâ? He and the Bears hit the road to battle the Chargers, who have been involved in five one-score games in six outings.
Las Vegas Raiders at Detroit Lions (-8.5), Total 45.5
Forecast: Indoors
Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.
The Lions look to bounce back after getting crushed in Baltimore last weekend. Itâs the first âMonday Night Footballâ game in The D since Sept. 10. 2018. The Lions will be wearing their blue helmets, too.
