Week 8 was filled with upsets. That ultimately pushed us to 9-7 for the week. However, many games with high confidence points were lost, pushing us to the 94th percentile on ESPN.
We’re now 79-43 on the season and approaching 700 points. That’s still good for the top 6,000 out of 1,000,000 people. But we can do better.
Here are our picks for Week 9 of the NFL season.
NFL Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Titans | Titans vs. Steelers
Will Levis gave the Titans a chance with some of the most accurate long balls we’ve seen in the NFL this season. I’d love to see him play before Ryan Tannehill gets another opportunity.
(2) Commanders | Commanders vs. Patriots
This game will be ugly. However, the Commanders have more offensive firepower, while the Patriots want to trade away many offensive assets.
(3) Jets | Chargers vs. Jets
You can never count out the Jets! Plus, the passing game should be so much better against Los Angeles on Monday night.
(4) Buccaneers | Buccaneers vs. Texans
After a loss to the Panthers, Houston isn’t ready to take that next step with the program this season.
(5) Eagles | Cowboys vs. Eagles
The Cowboys are a different team on the road. The Eagles also haven’t lost at home this season.
(6) Bengals | Bills vs. Bengals
The Bengals finally look like the team we all expected them to be earlier in the season. With Burrow healthy, the Bengals have the better quarterback. This rivalry is always fun. It’ll probably be a high-scoring game. But I’ll take the Bengals.
(7) Chiefs | Dolphins vs. Chiefs
Back at home, the Chiefs will find a way against the Dolphins. It’s rare for Kansas City to lose two straight games.
(8) Rams | Rams vs. Packers
We don’t know the status of Matthew Stafford. But the Rams won’t need to score too many points going up against a Packers offense that is struggling on all cylinders right now.
(9) Falcons | Vikings vs. Falcons
With Kirk Cousins out for the year and Justin Jefferson still not fully healthy, the Vikings could struggle in the second portion of the season. It sounds like Jameis Winston will be traded to Minnesota. If that’s the case, the Vikings will be better off than they are now. But it’ll take some time for the chemistry to develop.
(10) Ravens | Seahawks vs. Ravens
The Ravens have been a bit inconsistent this year. But at home, against a solid team like the Seahawks, expect the Ravens to be prepared just like that Lions matchup a couple of weeks ago.
(11) Giants | Giants vs. Raiders
Does anyone really think the Raiders will score points against the Giants this week? If Daniel Jones is healthy, I like New York to scrape by.
(12) Colts | Colts vs. Panthers
The Panthers earned their first win of the season last week. But that won’t be a common theme throughout the season.
(13) Saints | Bears vs. Saints
The Tyson Bagent experiment was fun. However, the Chicago defense is so bad that it really doesn’t matter what the Bears have on offense. The Saints will thrive offensively in this game.
(14) Browns | Cardinals vs. Browns
It sounds like the Cardinals will give Clayton Tune his first start of his career against the fierce Browns defense. Good luck.
