NFL Week 9 Parlay: Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

It’s Week 9, and the season has officially hit its halfway point. We have a good sense of the top-tier teams and the ones all the way at the bottom, but those are very few. Many teams are right in the middle, and this is the time when some of them will want to separate themselves. We have a couple of those teams featured this week, and they have some favorable matchups.

Leg 1: Eagles -13 (-110) (Thursday)

What makes this a great play stems from the types of games these teams played last week.

The Eagles came off their bye and put a beating to the Steelers. Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown connected for three touchdowns… in the first half. The Eagles had this game locked up early against an inferior Steelers team, and the starters were even pulled for the final two possessions.

On the other side, the Texans were destroyed by Derrick Henry, who went old-school King Henry with 219 yards and two touchdowns. The Titans played old-school smash-mouth football and ran the ball 45 times.

Houston is already one of the league’s worst teams, and now they have to prepare for a short week coming off a very physical game.

Leg 2: Dolphins -4.5 (-114)

You can put the questions about Tua Tagovailoa and his health to bed, as he and the Dolphins have been rolling on offense. Many were quick to disparage Tyreek Hill by choosing to go to Miami and believed he downgraded in quarterbacks. That doesn’t look to be the case. Hill now has three games with 160 or more receiving yards and is currently projected for 2,042 this year, which would be a season record.

The Bears know they have to prepare for the future, and they’ve started to trade away some of their players for picks. Chicago just let Dallas nearly put up a half-century, and Miami should get close as well.

Leg 3: Packers -3 (-110)

The Packers are in a bad spot, quickly losing ground in the NFC North, and could lose ground in the Wild Card picture.  If you want to be optimistic, they played much better than many thought against the Bills and were able to cover the 11.5 points.

They go from playing against the best-scoring defense to the worst. The Lions are in free fall after they suffered their fifth straight loss and made a move by firing their DB coach. That isn’t going to make Detroit great on defense overnight, and the offense is not scoring as easily as they were earlier in the season.

We’re starting to see improvements from the new core of receivers in Green Bay. This is a game the Packers need, or the season could be in serious jeopardy.
