NFL Week 9 Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Sunday Night Football (Titans vs. Chiefs)

The Tennessee Titans are heading to Kansas City where they look to take down the Chiefs. Despite both teams having a 5-2 record, the Chiefs are listed as huge -12.5 point favorites. Here are my favorite player prop bets for Sunday night's game.

NFL Week 9 Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Sunday Night Football (Titans vs. Chiefs)
Patrick Mahomes Over 277.5 Passing Yards (-120, BetMGM)
I expect Patrick Mahomes to tear apart this secondary during Sunday Night Football. Mahomes has finished every single season of his career with a passing yards per game average above 277.5. Additionally, his career average is a whopping 302.1 per game. Additionally, despite losing Tyreek Hill this season, Mahomes passing numbers have surprisingly increased to 308.4 yards per game. He has surpassed the 277.5 mark in four out of seven (57.1%) of games this season. On top of this, the Titans defense has allowed 254.7 passing yards per game which is just 24th in the NFL. I will be betting the over on Mahomes' passing yards prop as he looks to embarrass yet another NFL secondary.
Derrick Henry Over 87.5 Rushing Yards (-115, BetMGM)
If the Titans have any chance of winning, they will have to rely heavily on their workhorse running back, Derrick Henry. Especially with Ryan Tannehill banged up and another potential start from Malik Willis, this offense should be almost exclusively on the ground.
In the words of the great Mike Vrabel, "we get it into ******* Derrick's hands and everybody knows the ******* play". After a slow start to the season, King Henry has reached the 100 yard rushing mark in four consecutive games. Furthermore, over the last four seasons, Henry 114.3 rushing yards per game and has averaged over 100 in each. Despite facing a top three run defense and the knowledge that almost every play may be a run, I still expect Henry to exceed 87.5 rushing yards. I also lean towards the alternative line of 100+ rushing yards if you are looking for a higher return.
Travis Kelce Over 70.5 Receiving Yards (-115, BetMGM)
Betting the over on Kelce's receiving yards prop follows the same reasoning as betting the over on Mahomes' passing yards prop. Kelce has reached 71 receiving yards in four out of seven (57.1%) of games this season. Additionally, he has averaged over 70 receiving yards per game in each of his last five seasons and holds a career receiving yards per game of 71.3. Furthermore, Tennessee ranks in the bottom ten of the NFL in allowing receiving yards to the tight end position. Much like Mahomes, I expect Kelce to feast on a below-average passing defense during Sunday Night Football.
