NHL Odds, Picks & Predictions for Saturday: Flames vs. Oilers

Calgary Flames (+112) vs. Edmonton Oilers (-134) o/u 7 (+120/-148)

The first installment of this year’s Battle of Alberta is one that we should be excited to see.

Although the Oilers got the 4-1 series win in the Western Conference Second Round against the Flames, each game was exciting, pressure-filled, and high scoring.

Calgary had some turnover in their lineup in the offseason. Still, they had no problem taking down the reigning champs, and all three newcomers (Jonathan Huberdeau, Nazem Kadri, and MacKenzie Weegar) came away with at least a point.

While the Oilers still come with offensive juggernauts, they didn’t do anything to improve the blue line, and bringing in Jack Campbell behind the net doesn’t give you a ton of confidence.

Including the postseason, the over was 7-2 between these two teams, and with how well these offenses looked in their first games, throw confidence in the higher seven total with the plus odds.

Pick: Over 7 (+120)
