Carolina Hurricanes (-132) vs. Los Angeles Kings (+110) | o/u 6.5  (-106/-114)

Carolina is coming into this game playing very well on the road, going 3-0-3 in their last six. The Hurricanes have been great behind the net, allowing two or fewer goals in two of the last three games, and that’s what they’ll need to do against a Kings’ offense that needs to score to put up points.

The Kings have not been playing well at home recently, dropping three of the last four. Besides the firestorm 9-8 loss to Seattle, the Kings’ offense has struggled, and they’ve scored three or fewer goals in seven of their last nine. Not good for a team that lacks consistent defense all season.

The Carolina defense will be tough for Los Angeles and get through, and the Canes should do enough to grab the road win.

Pick Hurricanes ML (-132)

Colorado Avalanche (+146) vs. Boston Bruins (-176) | o/u 6 (-132/+108)

The Bruins are proving to be one of the best teams in the league. They’ve been stellar in the TD Garden, going 13-0-0. In fact, both Boston sports teams have been tough to beat there.

The Avalanche have the ability on both sides of the ice to compete with the Bruins and make this into a great matchup. The top line of Mikko Rantanen and Nathan McKinnon is one of the best forward units in the league. At the same, the defense is allowing the ninth-fewest expected goals and tenth-fewest shots on goal.

Each team is playing well offensively, both 5-on-5 and special teams. This will be a back-and-forth, high-scoring games.

Pick: Over 6 (-132)

New Jersey Devils (-240) vs. Philadelphia Flyers (+190) | o/u 6 (-106/-114)

Who has been hotter than the Devils? They’re dominant in both zones, winning 15 of their last 17, and haven’t lost on the road since the first game of the season.

That game was in Philadelphia, but a lot has changed for the Flyers since. They started off surprisingly well thanks to their remarkable defense and exceptional goaltending by Carter Hart. Since then, the team has plummeted, losing  11 of their last 12, and Hart’s goals allowed per game has increased.

The Flyers’ lack of offense and recent struggling defense will be tough for them to contend against New Jersey.

Pick: Devils -1.5 (+115)
