Top 3 NHL Odds, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (10/29)

This Saturday has an exciting slate of games with a couple of teams that have been playing well recently. Some of these teams are also coming in hot on offense, and that will play a factor, as well as a couple of plus money lines, which include an upset

Ottawa Senators (+168) vs. Florida Panthers (-205) | o/u 7 (+106/-132)

The Senators had their four-game winning streak snapped the other night, with an upset loss against a Wild. The offense has been one of the best this season at 3.86 goals per game, and with the struggles on defense, it’s been needed. It’s been a couple of weeks since they’ve been on the road, and they definitely were not looking forward to it because, in the last two away games, they were out-scored 7-3.

Florida had the best offense last year but is having a letdown season as they sit in the middle of the pack early on, and the defense has been unable to stop the offensive attack. While they’re coming in with back-to-back losses, they’ve been able to keep it close, which will help later in this game.

The Senators have been able to attack well offensively and should be able to get opportunities to put points on the board. I believe their struggles on the road will play a factor against the Panthers. Florida has been good, but they play teams close, and I like this to be a high-scoring game.

Pick: Over 7 (+106)

Edmonton Oilers (+125) vs. Calgary Flames (-150) | o/u 7 (+112/-140)

We get another round in the Battle of Alberta.

The Oilers’ offense is rolling, and they’ve lit the lamp 15 times in the last three games. They were able to stay resilient against the Blackhawks, coming back from a one-goal deficit three times, and in a matchup against the Flames, they’ll need it.

The Flames have enjoyed their homestand, winning three of four games against the Golden Knights, Penguins, and Hurricanes. The offense has been able to break through some excellent defense while holding down some of the better offenses to start the season.

Including the playoffs last year, these have been some close, exciting games, and while the Oilers got the best of them last year, the Flames won the first matchup earlier this year. Three road games in four days will play a factor for Edmonton against a well-rested Calgary team at home.

Pick: Flames -1.5 (+158)

Chicago Blackhawks (+146) vs. Buffalo Sabres (-176) | o/u 6.5 (-120/-102)

The Blackhawks started the season slowly, but they’ve played well the last few games, winning four out of their previous five and with four or more goals in each. Their roster runs deep, and they’re seeing contributions throughout their lines.

Buffalo started the season playing tremendously, winning seven of their first eight with road victories against the Flames and Oilers. The offense has run into a wall and back-to-back losses, including scoring just one goal against the bad Kraken defense.

The Blackhawks are playing well offensively and getting a great spot against a Sabres team that hasn’t been scoring lately. Take the upset.

Pick: Blackhawks ML (+146)
