Top 3 NHL Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (11/13)

This Sunday has an exciting slate of games, with a couple of teams playing well recently. We also have a matchup with some struggling teams that would love to come away with two points.

Vancouver Canucks (+180) vs. Boston Bruins (-220) | o/u 6.5 (-104/-118)

The Bruins are continuing their impressive season, going 13-2-0, and are the best offense in the league.  They’ve got depth throughout the lineup, and they’re one of the few teams with a playmaker on every line and can beat you 5-on-5 or on special teams.

The Canucks have a young and talented roster, but they’ve shown a lack of consistency throughout the season. They got a great group of offensive weapons, including Bo Harvat, whose 12 goals are second in the league, but the goaltending has been disappointing.

While Boston is one of the best teams in the league, Vancouver matches up well. Their forwards should be able to attack the net and find opportunities, while the blue line can make stops. I love the Canucks getting upset in Boston.

Pick: Bruins ML

San Jose Sharks (+210) vs. Minnesota Wild (-260) | o/u 6.5 (+114/-140)

The Sharks could be the worse team in the league when you look at the roster. They got an upset win on the road against the Stars but recently lost to the Ducks and Blues. You know it’s a problem when a defenseman is your leading offensive player, as Erik Karlson leads the team with ten goals and 21 points.

After a rough start to the season, the Wild have been getting better by winning four of the last six. The goaltending has stepped up, and Marc Andre Fleury has won five of his previous seven starts and allowed three or fewer goals in six.

That will play a factor against a San Jose offense that will face one of the better-performing goalies they’ve seen in a while. The Wild will have a convincing win at home.

Pick: Wild -1.5 (+100)

Winnipeg Jets (+108) vs. Seattle Kraken (-130) | o/u 6.5 (-110/-110)

The Jets have been on a perfect run, and the Jets elate entering the game 6-1-1 and holding a lead in the Central Division. The goaltending has been superb this year, allowing the third-fewest goals this year. They will likely have David Rittich in net, who’s allowed six goals in the two starts.

Seattle has been playing solid hockey recently and is coming in, winning five of their previous six. They took a heartbreaking 1-0  loss against the Wild, where they played well on the defensive side and were able to outshoot Minnesota but couldn’t break one through.

Seattle has the advantage of a rest day while the Jets travel on a back-to-back. With also likely see Rittich behind the net, and they’ll have better luck offensively.

Pick: Kraken ML
