With the 2024 NHL Playoffs starting, we turn to David Pastrnak for our favorite plus-money prop for Game 1.

Best NHL Plus Money Player Prop Bets

POTD: David Pastrnak Over 1.5 Points (+150 BetMGM)

Not to get conservative on you all of a sudden, but we’re going to ease into the playoffs with some “safer” plus-money bets today. I like to see how a series begins to shape up before going for the bigger ones.

Therefore, we’re going with David Pastrnak to pick up two points in Game 1 of Boston’s series against Toronto. In the four games against the Maple Leafs this season, Pasta picked up seven points. Additionally, he had 10 more points at home than he did on the road this season and 110 overall.

After the Bruins were unceremoniously ousted as the top seed last year, I think they come out strong today, and that will include Pastrnak doubling up his point total.

Riskier POTD: Sebastian Aho 2+ Points (+255 FanDuel)

The Islanders are the weakest defensive team in the playoffs, and Sebastian Aho is poised to take advantage. I like both his assist prop and his anytime goal prop individually, so I think it’s worth a sprinkle (0.75 units) for him to also pick up two points this afternoon.
