NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/18)

It’s night two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and let’s hope it can live up to night one where two games went to overtime. There are some exciting series early on to pay attention to, and we'll look at some players that could make an impact in those games.

Today's Best NHL Player Props

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Nathan MacKinnon UNDER 1.5 Points (-125)

The Avalanche played well at the end of the season, winning 16 of their final 19 games on their way to winning the Central. They have dealt with injuries for most of the season, and players like Cale Makar, Artturi Lehkonen, and Valeri Nichushkin missed, but it looks like everyone will be available.

Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen kept this team going in offense, and both finished with 100+ points and 40+ goals.

Although, both struggled against Seattle this season and combined for just one point in three games. Having their entire ensemble will take the pressure off, so McKinnion and Rantanen do not need to try and score multiple points.

William Nylander OVER 3.5 Shots On Goal (+100)

The Maple Leafs have the talent to go far in the playoffs, but can they forget about the past and the pressure of losing the last seven playoff series?

This is an incredible two-way team. The forward unit had four 30+ goals (Mitchell Marner, William Nylander, Auston Matthews, John Tavares), each averaging a point a game.  The defense also held its own, allowing just 2.67 goals per game.

Taking on the Lightning, who have won the Eastern Conference for three straight years, won’t be easy. The offense was one of the best, and Andrei Vasilevskiy is one of the best goalies in the league. Their blue line was a weakness this season. This allowed Nylander to average 6.3 shots per game and hit this prop in all three.

Nico Hischier OVER 0.5 Assists (+100)

We get the Hudson River Rivalry in the First Round. The Devils played well on both sides of the ice and finished second in the expected goal differential. They didn't have anyone with 100 points, but the roster has a 30-goal scorer on each forward line and Dougie Hamilton, whose 22 goals were second amongst defensemen.

Nico Hischier finished the season with one goal in his last 12 games but had 13 assists. He also had three helpers against the Rangers this year.
