NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Projections: Friday (1/5)

Each day for the entire 2023-2024 season, we will be providing our favorite player prop bets from the NHL slate. We’ll post our favorite bets in the BettingPros Discord, which is free to join and filled with info from some of the sharpest analysts in the field. We also just started BettingPros NHL Prop Bet group where you can make bets without having to wager money, but you can compete against fellow NHL enthusiasts.
Friday’s Best NHL Player Prop Bets
POTD: Andrei Svechnikov OVER 0.5 Assists (+140 Bet365)
Svechnikov has had 15 assists in 23 games this season for the Hurricanes and skates on Carolina’s top line along with Sebastian Aho, who has 43 points on the year. The last time Carolina played Washington, they ended in a shootout at 1-1, but I think we’re in for a higher-scoring game this evening. For those wanting better odds, Svechnikov is -150 to get a point, of which he has 11 in his last five games.
If you have any questions or see a late injury or line change, don’t hesitate to message me @thewonkypenguin on Twitter, and I’ll make sure to update the post/projections accordingly. Keep an eye on my Twitter for additional recommendations, especially goalie props that don’t typically come out until closer to puck drop.
