NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Projections: Saturday (10/21)

In the spring of 2023, analysts at BettingPros began using their own projection model for NHL player props and tested it throughout the NHL Playoffs. The model focuses on the prop markets available on the BettingPros NHL Player Props page. With some adjustments and tweaks, the model ended up at +25.6 units in just the five games of the Stanley Cup Final series.

So we’re bringing it back for the entire 2023-2024 season and will be providing our favorite player prop bets from the NHL slate each day. We’ll post our favorite bets in the BettingPros Discord, which is free to join and filled with info from some of the sharpest analysts in the field. We also just started BettingPros NHL Prop Bet group where you can make bets without having to wager money, but you can compete against fellow NHL enthusiasts.

Saturday’s Best NHL Player Prop Bets

Happy Saturday! More importantly, Happy 15-Game Slate! The number of props I like/love today is off the charts. With 30 teams in action, there’s a little something for everyone.

The Ottawa/Detroit game kicks off at 1 p.m. EST, and it’s one of my top three favorite games today. My other two faves are Florida/Vancouver and Carolina/Colorado. I’m staying away from Toronto and Tampa Bay, even though those seem like two teams to attack. Both have had an odd start to the year, though if I had to bet, I’d go to my old standby of Nikita Kucherov over 1.5 points.

Feel free to follow me here at BettingPros for additional props throughout the day.

If you have any questions or see a late injury or line change, don’t hesitate to message me @thewonkypenguin on Twitter, and I’ll make sure to update the post/projections accordingly. Keep an eye on my Twitter for additional recommendations, especially goalie props that don’t typically come out until closer to puck drop.

Best of luck to you with your wagers. Let’s win some money!
