Best NHL Plus Money Player Prop Bets
We didnât hit the Roman Josi POTD yesterday. He picked up a point super early and then just had nada the rest of the night. We did, however, hit eight of our 11 plus-money props for a very nice payout. So, letâs see what weâve got cooking today.
POTD: Patrick Kane & Connor Bedard ATGs (+707 FanDuel)
Safe POTD: Patrick Kane ATG (+200 FanDuel)
Iâm not one for narrative-driven parlays because, most of the time, thatâs just bad betting. However, Iâm willing to make an exception today.
Patrick Kane returns to Chicago for the first time since being traded to the Rangers midseason last year. Kane spent almost 15 seasons with the Blackhawks, winning three Stanley Cups in that span. From what I can tell, he is universally beloved there, and the emotions will be running high before puck drop.
Statistically speaking, Kane has three goals in his last five, and Detroit is rolling right now with a four-game win streak, including an absolutely dominant game against the Blues yesterday. There is no planet on which I donât think heâs lighting the lamp today.
After trading Kane, Chicago immediately drafted his heir apparent, Connor Bedard. The 18-year-old has 17 goals in 44 games, and while he has been a bit rocky since his return from a significant jaw injury, he is still the offensive leader of this admittedly terrible team. It completes the circle for the new rookie hero to score against the old hero, right?
The hockey gods and the storybook narrative point to each guy getting a goal today. Iâm throwing a half-unit on it, and it is must-see TV for hockey fans.
