NHL Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Projections: Thursday (2/22)
Each day for the entire 2023-2024 season, we will be providing our favorite player prop bets from the NHL slate. We’ll post our favorite bets in the BettingPros Discord, which is free to join and filled with info from some of the sharpest analysts in the field. Best NHL Plus Money Player Prop Bets
POTD: Erik Karlsson 2+ Points (+250)
After we nailed our tiny +305 parlay yesterday (and cashed each individual plus money prop), we get an 11-game slate to choose from on Thursday. Of all the games on the slate, I am targeting the Penguins versus the Canadiens, specifically defenseman Erik Karlsson.
Karlsson has a point in 30 of Pittsburgh’s 53 games this year and 39 points overall, 32 of which are assists. He also tallied two points against this Montreal team back in December. I love to target defensemen against teams that struggle against the position, and the Habs have allowed blue-liners to tally 133 points against them and have a plus/minus of +53 on the season.
To add to it, the Canadiens are on the second night of a back-to-back and are expected to start Jake Allen in net, paving the way for a high offensive output from the Penguins. I expect Karlsson to have at least one assist and might put a bit on his anytime goal at +410.
