Thursday's Best NHL Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)
Bo Harvat Anytime Goal (+155)
The Sabres have dropped three out of their last four and are three points behind the final Wild Card spot. Every game is now crucial in these last few weeks.
The offense that was once the best in the league hasn't played well recently. Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, and Dylan Cozens have a combined 20 goals in the last ten games, but no one else in the lineup has more than three.
For the Islanders, the defense continues to be their strong point. Ilya Sorokin has been incredible by allowing just 1.96 goals in his last seven games, and heâs helped by a blue line allowing that's been playing well lately.
The offense got a boost with the addition of Bo Harvat, and he's proving his worth with five goals in eight games.
Buffalo has been unable to figure out its goaltending problem and is allowing the seventh-most goals this year. Harvat will continue to contribute tonight.
Joel Eriksson Ek 1+ Assists (+145)
The Flames snapped their five-game losing streak with a last-second goal to upset the Stars in Dallas. Still, it's been a disappointing season, as Calgary will likely miss the playoffs. Dan Vladar will get the start in the crease, and heâs been terrible this year with a -7.8 Goals Saved Above Expected.
Minnesota is winning at the right time and could be a threat to step over Dallas and win the Central. What's been the catalyst for these wins is the goaltending. The tandem of Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson starting every other game is unusual, but it's working, and together they are allowing 2.62 goals per game and a .918 save percentage.
Eriksson Ek has been fantastic on the second line and had an assist in the previous game against the Flames. He and the Wild should have one of their better recent offensive games tonight against Calgary, who's playing three games in four days.
Dawson Mercer 1+ Points (-116)
The Maple Leafs are dealing with a few injuries for tonight. Newly acquired Ryan O'Reilly was put on injured reserve, Luke Schenn is away from the team for personal reasons, and John Tavares is out with an illness.
The Devils are coming off a game they should have rolled through, but Arizona took them overtime before New Jersey came away with the win. The story from that game was that newly acquired Timo Meier skated on the second line and got his first goal quickly in his Devils debut.
Dawson Mercer is rolling on the top line and has picked up a point in nine straight.
