NHL Playoffs Best Bets, Picks & Predictions: Saturday (Golden Knights vs. Stars)
The Golden Knights would have loved to sweep this series and not give Florida too much of a rest advantage, but that was not on the cards as the Stars grabbed an overtime win to extend the series. Is tonight the night, as they have a chance to seal it at home?

Dallas Stars (+122) at Vegas Golden Knights (-146) | O/U 5.5 (-108/-112)
Vegas saw a couple of things happen that they hadn't seen previously in this series, and one was a good performance from Jake Oettinger. The Dallas goaltender has struggled throughout this series, even being replaced under ten minutes into Game 3. Peter DeBoer took a risk and gave him the start in an elimination game, and it paid off as he saved 37-of-39 shots. If the Stars want to make a monumental comeback, he must transition that's performance for the rest of the series.
The second was from Joe Pavelski. It was shocking to see someone who had nine goals in 12 games during the playoffs go the first three games of this series without lighting the lamp before netting the OT game-winner in Game 4. Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz have led the charge for this offense, but if Pavelski and even Max Domi can get involved, they would be tough to stop.
You can't be upset with how well the Golden Knights played. The offense got off ten high-danger shots, with Jonathan Marchessault coming away with a goal in his third straight game and the same with Jack Eichel in assists.
For how shaky the blue line was, Adin Hill had another brilliant effort by saving 39-of-42 shots and 11-of-13 high-danger shots. He's been able to play well between the pipes, even with Stars doing well at attacking the offensive zone and getting excellent shot opportunities.
Vegas has been good, but when looking beyond the standard stat sheets, they haven't been dominant, and three of the four games going to overtime show it.
This will be another exciting matchup, especially if Oettinger has returned to form. I like the trend of close and low-scoring games to continue.
Pick: Under 5.5 (-112)
