NHL Playoffs Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (5/2)

The second round of action begins tonight, and we have two series that could be interesting. One could feature a lot of scoring, and it could be a case of who lights the lamp more. The other will be mostly defensive-minded, but each has some talent on offense. Let’s look at some players who could make an impact tonight.

Today’s Best NHL Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jamie Benn OVER 0.5 Points (-130)

The Stars had a rough beginning to their series against Minnesota, but they pulled off three straight wins by a combined score of 11-3. With Joe Pavelski out, it was the responsibility of some of its other skaters to come through, and many of them thrived.

This will be another tough series as they take on Seattle, who just defeated the defending champs. They played very well defensively against an excellent Avalanche team, and Philipp Grubauer had 2.9 goals saved above expected. Jamie Benn had a forgettable first round, but he’s succeeded against the Kraken this year with six points in three games (2G 4A).

Matthew Tkachuk Anytime Goal (+125)

Florida was able to pull off the biggest upset in NHL playoff history by beating the Bruins, who set the record for most wins and points.

They come with a very talented offense, which just last year averaged over four goals per game and won the Presidents’ Trophy.

The Panthers gained a big addition by bringing in Matthew Tkachuk, who finished sixth in points and had 11 (5G, 6A) against Boston. He will play an important part for Florida, as they will need to score a lot against another excellent offense in Toronto. I’m confident that Tkachuk can continue his run and score a goal.
