Boston Bruins at Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs made this series interesting, keeping their season alive with a big win in Boston. The offense has been virtually non-existent, however, and despite a 53.16% expected goal share, they're averaging 1.8 goals per game. Injuries have certainly played a part; William Nylander missed the first three games of this series, and Auston Matthews missed the last game. Still, only Matthew Kines has multiple goals for this team.

It also has to do with how well Jeremy Swayman is playing. The Bruins had been going with a rotation of Swayman and Linus Ullmark in the regular season, but after Ullmark allowed three goals in the loss in Game 2, it's been all Swayman. Even after the loss, there is no reason to make a switch; he's been the best goalie in the playoffs, leading with a 1.49 GAA (min. four games), .952 save percentage, and 9.6 goals saved above expected.

The Bruins are also getting massive performances from their stars, and ten players have multiple points in this series. Boston's defense has been tough to break through all season, and Toronto has struggled to score on them, even in the regular season. The B's have lost twice at home, so they don’t want a Game 7, even if it's at the Garden.
