It is one of the more exciting times of the year: the Stanley Cup playoffs. What makes the NHL have such a special playoff run is that sometimes, the best team doesn’t always win. We have two games, and we’ll look at the best same game parlays for each.

Wednesday’s NHL Best Same Game Parlays

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Vegas Golden Knights at Dallas Stars

  • Leg 1: Jonathan Marchessault Over 0.5 Points (-125)
  • Leg 2: Over 5.5 Total Goals (-125)
  • Leg 3: Logan Thompson Over 27.5 Saves (-125)

The Stars have come roaring back by winning two games and evening things up in this series. If you look at the metrics, it’s evident that Dallas is capable of winning this series; they have a 59.76% expected goal share and a corsi percentage advantage. The defense has been excellent, but this was their best performance, as it was the first time they obtained a lead and didn’t allow Vegas to come back.

The champs are healthy but need some of their stars to step up. Chandler Stephenson has just one assist, Mark Stone hasn’t gotten a point since the second minute of Game 1, while Shea Theodore and William Karlsson have been blanked. Game 4 was a solid game for Logan Thompson, saving 28-of-31 shots, especially with all the high-danger chances the blue line allowed.

It is tough to pick a team based on how this series is going, but there are some outstanding bets to take for this game.

Parlay Odds: +483

Los Angeles Kings at Edmonton Oilers

  • Leg 1: Oilers -1.5  (+130)
  • Leg 2: Oilers Over 3.5 Goals (-130)
  • Leg 3: Leon Draisaitl Anytime Goal (+110)

Here’s something you don’t hear every day: the Oilers won in a defensive battle 1-0. Stuart Skinner saved all 33 shots, they were only on the penalty kill once, and the Oilers led in blocked shots 19-17. This is a rare accomplishment for them, so to get this win shows how tough it could be to beat them.

This is the type of game the Kings usually win. They allowed only one goal on 13 shots, they had a +20 shot advantage but couldn’t get one through. If Los Angeles can’t win a game that plays heavily in their favor, this series could be over tonight.

When you can’t win playing your style of hockey, it’s deflating. Rogers Place will rock, and Edmonton already knows the feeling of eliminating the Kings.
