Thursday’s NHL Best Same Game Parlays

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Seattle Kraken at Boston Bruins

  • Leg 1: Bruins -1.5 (+136)
  • Leg 2: Brad Marchand Over 2.5 Shots On Goal (-150)
  • Leg 3: Charlie McAvoy Over 0.5 Points (-135)

The Kraken went on an excellent run for a while, grabbing 22 out of a possible 24 points, but they hit the wall and are just 3-7-1 over their last 11.  The problem continues to be the offense, as they are just 30th in Expected Goal For Per 60. This team needs to continue to rely on their defense, which is fourth in Expected Goal Against Per 60.

It’s not exciting when you look at Boston, which is an excellent two-way team. They are tenth in goals scored per game and have five players with over 30 points. Although, the defense is their specialty, especially the goaltending. They have the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, Linus Ullmark, but he hasn’t even been their best goalie; that goes to Jeremy Swayman, who’s third in save percentage and fifth in goals allowed.

As well as the Kraken can defend, going to TD Garden has proven tough for even great teams. The lack of offense will hinder them against the Bruins, who can beat you on both sides.

Total Parlay: +585

Edmonton Oilers at St. Louis Blues

  • Leg 1: Oilers -1.5 (+124)
  • Leg 2: Over 6.5 Goals (-108)
  • Leg 3: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-115)

The Oilers weren’t able to make history and win their 17th straight. They are now four games back from the break and have yet to win back-to-back. Connor McDavid is coming off one of the best games of his already impressive career, as he had six assists against the Red Wings.

The Blues’ defense has brought this team back into contention, especially with the help of Jordan Binnington, who has a .920 save percentage and allowed 2.30 goals in his last seven games. The offense is improving, as they’ve scored four or more goals in six of their previous eight.

While Binnington has been great, St. Louis is only 4-3-0 in those games. Edmonton is slow out of the gate from the break but has the confidence to grab two points tonight.

Total Parlay: +707

Detroit Red Wings at Vancouver Canucks

  • Leg 1: Over 6.5 Goals (-130)
  • Leg 2: David Perron Over 1.5 Shots On Goal (-130)
  • Leg 3: J.T. Miller Over 0.5 Assists (-115)

The Red Wings offense has been helping this team throughout the year, and it will be important to them down the stretch. You’ve seen them fade when some of their top forwards have missed time, but everyone is healthy, even Patrick Kane is back and contributing and you’re seeing them play much better.

The Canucks continue as the top team in the league, being both top five in goals scored and allowed. They didn’t believe it was good enough, so they got even better by acquiring Elias Lindholm from Calgary. So far, he has had two goals and an assist since joining the team.

The Canucks have a significant defensive edge, but the Red Wings have proven to be able to contend against potent defenses, so you side with the over, with each side’s top forward coming away with points.

Total Parlay: +485
