Thursday's NHL Best Same Game Parlays

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Tampa Bay Lightning at Montreal Canadiens

  • Leg 1: Lightning Over 3.5 Team Goals (-125)
  • Leg 2: Lightning Moneyline (-170)
  • Leg 3: Brayden Point Anytime Goal (+125)

The Lightning have picked the best time to get hot, as they are 9-1-1 in their last 11. This team has stayed in playoff contention all year, but is now surging. They are holding the first Wild Card spot, but they just got a win against the Maple Leafs to pull within four points for third place in the Atlantic. Andre Vasilevsiky played in last night's game, and with Jonas Johansson hurt, it should be Matt Tomkins in the net; while he's only 1-2-0 this year, that win was against the Canadiens.

Montreal could eventually become a great team with some of the young talent they have, but that time is not right now, as they are sitting with the second-fewest points in the league. Sam Montembeault should get the start and in two appearances against Tampa Bay this year, he has allowed five goals and an .884 save percentage.

It doesn't matter who's in the cage for the Bolts with how well the offense has been. Every forward on their top two lines has gotten at least eight points in the last ten games, with Brayden Point having 17 points (11G 6A)  and Nikita Kucherov having 26 points (4G 22A).

Parlay Odds: +543

Los Angeles Kings at San Jose Sharks

  • Leg 1: Kings -1.5 (-122)
  • Leg 2: Pierre-Luc Dubois Over 0.5 Points (+110)
  • Leg 3: Sharks Under 2.5 Team Total (-190)

It's been a roller coaster ride of a season for the Kings. Once considered an early championship favorite, they're currently clinging onto the final Wild Card spot. The offense has been inconsistent; they look dominant at times, but with injuries and bad play, they hit total incompetence. What's kept them alive is how well the defense plays from the blue line to the goaltending.

They beat a plummeting Kraken team last night, and now they face the worst team in the league. The Sharks will end up with the fewest points and the best chance to get the top pick. They are last in goals allowed and it's not close. They are also second to last in goals scored, and they are close enough, so that's where they could end up.

The Kings need to beat these teams, especially with only a few games remaining, or they may miss the playoffs.

Parlay Odds: +483

New York Islanders at Columbus Blue Jackets

  • Leg 1: Islanders Moneyline (-185)
  • Leg 2: Over 6 Goals (-115)
  • Leg 3: Ander Lee Over 2.5 Shots On Goal (+110)

The Islanders are so close to a playoff spot, sitting just one point behind the Capitals for the second Wild Card. This team has lacked consistency all season, and even with the coaching change, they haven't been much better. Over the last few weeks, they've won six in a row, then lost six straight, and finally won back-to-back games for the first time since March 10.

New York's schedule gets tough to end the season, but they're highly favored in this one. The Blue Jackets are the only team eliminated in the Eastern Conference. They've been terrible all season and are 28th in expected goals percentage.

Parlay Odds: +505
