NHL Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (1/10)

New Jersey Devils vs. Carolina Hurricanes

  • Leg 1: Hurricanes ML (-140)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 5.5 total goals (+115)
  • Leg 3: Hurricanes OVER 0.5 first-period goal (-210)

The Hurricanes were on a stellar run, winning 15-of-16, but they’ve hit a wall losing three straight. During this skid, they’re getting contributions from the offense and their defense is keeping the opposition from getting the puck near the net. However, goalies Pyotr Kochetkov and Antti Raanta had a bad couple of games.

Looking at the New Jersey Devils, you wouldn’t believe they were one of the hotter teams in the league a few weeks ago. They’ve dropped 10 of their last 14 and haven’t won consecutive games for over a month.

The Canes have dominated the recent history, winning five straight head-to-head matches. They’re still playing well on offense and reducing shots in their own zone, so I like them to rebound and beat a New Jersey team that’s been inconsistent.

Parlay Odds: +400

Dallas Stars vs. New York Islanders

  • Leg 1: Stars ML (-120)
  • Leg 2: UNDER 5.5 total goals (-115)
  • Leg 3: Jason Robertson anytime goal (+125)

The Stars are one of the more balanced teams in the league, with a top-five offense and defense. This forward unit led by Jason Robertson is fast and moves the puck well, while Jake Oettinger is one of the top goalkeepers in the league.

The Islanders have an equally tough defense that battles for the puck in the neutral zone and interrupts offensive momentum. Offensively, they’ve been much better this year, and they have playmakers on each line that can challenge the deeper units.

This will certainly be a physical battle between two teams that play great defense at even strength and on the penalty kill. A low-scoring game is what to expect.

Parlay Odds: +575

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Vancouver Canucks

  • Leg 1: Penguins team total OVER 4.5 (+170)
  • Leg 2: Canucks team total OVER 2.5 (-140)
  • Leg 3: Bo Horvat anytime goal (+160)

The Penguins are in the middle of a tough stretch. They are coming in losing six of the last seven, with that one win being against the Coyotes. They’re dealing with injuries, specifically on the defensive side, with Kris Letang and Tristian Jarry sidelined.

The Canucks are one of the better offensive teams in the league and are currently ninth in goals scored. The defense is continuing to prove to be their undoing, which was especially proven when they allowed seven goals against the Jets in the previous game.

These are two excellent offenses with deeper forward units and struggling defenses. Look for the lamps to be lit up all night.

Parlay Odds: +700
