NHL Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Saturday (11/23)

It’s another full weekend of National Hockey League action, as we have a total of 15 games on the slate, meaning that just two games are off. Four games have start dates of 6 p.m. ET or earlier, and we’re not going to focus on those games. We’ll pick a couple of Same-Game Parlays among the evening slate.

The New Jersey Devils and Washington Devils, with a puck drop of 7 p.m. ET at Capital One Center, are one game we’ll look at for an SGP. We’ll also focus on the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers at 10 p.m. ET.

These Same Game Parlays (SGPs) come with +400 odds or higher.

Below we feature solid NHL Same Game Parlays for tonight’s matchups. Perhaps you can mix and match with college football, an NFL Week 12 matchup, NBA games or games from another full weekend of college basketball.

Let’s get started.

New Jersey Devils at Washington Capitals

The New Jersey Devils (13-7-2) battle the Washington Capitals (13-5-1) at 7 p.m. ET, and the Caps continue to try to pull together as a unit following the devastating news of Alex Ovechkin. It was learned earlier this week that the sniper will be sidelined for at least four to six weeks with a broken fibula, which seems rather optimistic of a timeframe.

The Devils are coming off an impressive 4-2 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes last time out, and Jersey has picked up victories in three of the past four outings. This is already the third season meeting between these teams, with the road team winning each battle so far.

Washington (+150) cashed in a wild 6-5 game at Prudential Center in Newark on Oct. 19, while the Devils won the first installment 5-3 in the nation’s capital on Oct. 12. The Over easily cashed in each of the outings. However, with Ovie sidelined here, it’s a good idea to re-think the Over.

New Jersey has also picked up eight wins in the past 11 games since Oct. 27, as it is really playing some good hockey in the Metropolitan Division.

The first post-Ovie game for Washington resulted in a low-scoring 2-1 setback against the visiting Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night. With a matchup of Jacob Markstrom (9-5-1, 2.54 GAA, .907 SV%, 1 SO) and Charlie Lindgren (5-4-0, 2.59 GAA, .900 SV%), it’s a good idea to also consider the Under because of the goaltenders, especially if you can get the line at Under 6.5.

As far as player props, look to Dylan Strome for shots on goal. While he has managed just five shots on goal (SOG), he had three SOG with a goal and three points in New Jersey on Oct. 19 and a goal and an assist with four SOG on Oct. 12 in D.C.

New York Rangers at Edmonton Oilers

Looking to the late-night game, the Rangers (12-5-1) wrap up a four-game road trip with the Oilers (10-9-2) tangle Saturday night at Rogers Place, with a tip time of 10 p.m. ET.

The Rangers won the first two games of the trip with a 2-0 victory against the Seattle Kraken behind Jonathan Quick, while Igor Shesterkin got the job done in an entertaining 4-3 victory against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night. The Under has cashed in three of the past four games, and the Rangers have two shutout victories in the past six outings.

The Oilers are coming off a 5-3 loss at home against the Minnesota Wild. They are just 1-2-1 in the past four games. The Oilers have slipped back into the bad habits that got the defending Western Conference champs off to a slow start this season.

In this series, the road team has won each of the past four meetings since Nov. 26, 2022, with the Over cashing in three of those outings. The Over is 5-2 in the past seven meetings in this series since NYE in 2019.

For the Oilers, the Over has cashed in each of the past two games while going 5-2 in the past seven contests. The Oilers have allowed three or more goals in seven of the past nine outings, as defense and goaltending have been shaky at best.

Shesterkin (8-5-1, 2.82 GAA, .914 SV%, 1 SO) and Stuart Skinner (6-6-2, 3.33 GAA, .876 SV%, 1 SO) are projected to be the tendies for this matchup. Whether it’s Shesty or Quick, it’s a favorable matchup for the Rangers, who look to end the road trip on a high note. Let’s back New York, as the road trend in this series continues, and we’ll go high, too.

Surprise, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are the hottest players on either side for player props. Both players have six goals in the past seven games, while McDavid has 15 points. Draisaitl checks in with 12 points and a plus-4 rating. We’ll play Draisaitl as an Anytime Goal Scorer, as his price is just a little more of a return than McDavid’s.

Parlay Odds: +770
