We have 11 total games on the National Hockey League (NHL) slate on Saturday. We have four matinee games, including three 4:00 p.m. ET puck drops on the West Coast. We’ll avoid those games, focusing on the evening window. The Columbus Blue Jackets and Boston Bruins meet at TD Garden, and the New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes meet at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C. Both games are the second end of a back-to-back and home-and-home, so they’re super intriguing from a betting perspective.
These same-game parlays (SGPs) come with +400 odds or higher.
Below, we feature solid NHL same-game parlays for tonight’s matchups. Perhaps you can mix and match with some college football bowl game action, an NFL Week 17 matchup, NBA contests or games from another full weekend of college basketball.
Let’s get started.
Saturday’s Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Columbus Blue Jackets at Boston Bruins
- Leg 1: Bruins -1.5 (+112)
- Leg 2: Over 6.5 Goals (+106)
- Leg 3: Brad Marchand Anytime Goal Scorer (+165)
The Blue Jackets (15-15-6) and the Bruins (19-14-4) meet for the second straight night, this time in Beantown. The Blue Jackets have been a major thorn in the side of the Bruins to date, winning 6-2 on Friday night in Ohio’s capital city as a moderate underdog (+134), while winning 5-1 in Boston back on November 18 as an even bigger underdog (+159).
In Friday’s game, Sean Monahan opened the scoring with a power-play goal midway through the first period, although Pavel Zacha leveled the scoring before the team headed for the room after 20 minutes. The second period is when things went off the rails for Joonas Korpisalo, as he allowed goals to Adam Fantilli, Monahan on an even-strength goal this time and then a pair of power-play goals to Dmitri Voronkov. Kirill Marchenko made it 6-1 at 3:04 of the third period before Charlie Coyle scored the most meaningless goal ever at 4:08 of the third.
Elvis Merzlikins was good for 24 saves in the victory, was Korpisalo stopped 27 of the 33 shots he faced.
Columbus is 3-0-1 in the past four games, getting itself back to .500 on the season. The over has cashed in three in a row and four of the past five outings. The over is 1-0-1 in two meetings with Boston this season, too.
For the B’s, they’ll turn to Jeremy Swayman to exact a little revenge. He is 12-10-3 with a 3.05 GAA, .887 SV% and one shutout. He’ll be opposed by Daniil Tarasov, who is 3-5-1 with a 4.26 GAA and .857 SV%. It’s a very favorable spot for the Bruins to not only just win, but pile up the goals, similar to how the Blue Jackets did on Friday. Back the puck line here and let’s go with the over, too.
As far as player props are concerned, we’ll go with Brad Marchand to score a goal. While that seems too easy, there is a reason behind it. One, he didn’t score in Columbus, snapping a two-game goal-scoring streak. He does have points in 11 straight games, though, posting seven goals and 14 points in the span. He has lit the lamp in three consecutive games at TD Garden, too.
Parlay Odds: +606
New Jersey Devils at Carolina Hurricanes
- Leg 1: Hurricanes Moneyline (-134)
- Leg 2: Over 6.5 Goals (+104)
- Leg 3: Yes – Will There be Overtime? (+330)
In our other game, the Hurricanes (21-13-1) will be looking for revenge after the Devils (24-11-3) picked up a 4-2 win in the front end of the home-and-home on Friday night. Oddly enough, the winning team in each of the past four meetings in this series has won 4-2, with both teams winning twice.
Jacob Markstrom had a 139:03 scoreless streak until Eric Robinson scored his ninth goal of the season in the first period, giving Carolina a short-lived lead. Ondrej Palat and Nico Hischier scored within 42 seconds of each other late in the first to give New Jersey a 2-1 lead heading to intermission.
Brent Burns fired out of the room with a game-tying goal just 22 seconds into the second, helped out by Jack Roslovic. However, Jack Hughes and Dawson Mercer scored within 4:32 of each other, and that was all of the scoring. For the final 31:13, we saw no more offense, much to the dismay of anyone betting the over on six goals.
Pyotr Kochetkov made just 19 saves on 23 shots in the loss, which wasn’t his best effort. Now, Dustin Tokarski, who has split a pair of starts while posting a 2.51 GAA and .904 SV%, gets the nod against the Devils. He’ll be opposed by Jake Allen (5-5-1, 2.79 GAA, .900 SV%, two shutouts). Allen hasn’t won in his past three starts, allowing 12 goals on 74 shots.
The Hurricanes have won five in a row on home ice against the Devils since May 5, 2023, including their playoff series in May 2023. Look for Tokarski and the home side to get the job done, although it could be a high-scoring affair.
Let’s get a little wild, too. While, yes, we’ve had four straight games decided by a 4-2 score in this series, let’s roll the dice on ‘Yes’ on ‘Will There be Overtime?’ for the chance to triple up. Take a chance on that straight up, but also toss it into the parlay for a potentially big payoff.
Parlay Odds: +1332
