Tampa Bay Lightning at Boston Bruins
- Leg 1: Lightning Moneyline (-170)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Goals (-110)
- Leg 3: Nikita Kucherov Anytime Goal Scorer (+145)
The Lightning (37-23-5) and Bruins (30-29-8) meet at TD Garden at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game can be viewed on ESPN+.
Tampa Bay is trying to finish off their three-game road trip with a win. They went 0-1-1 in the first two stops, falling 4-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, while dropping a 4-3 game in a shootout against the Philadelphia Flyers as the over (6.0) cashed. Andrei Vasilevskiy was rested in Philadelphia, so look for him to patrol the crease on Saturday.
No matter who is between the pipes, the Lightning offense has to step up with more support. Tampa Bay has a total of just four goals in the past three games, or 1.33 goals per game (GPG). Tampa Bay has allowed four or more goals in the past four games, too, or 4.33 GPG. That’s not a great recipe for success.
These teams just met at Amalie Arena last Saturday, with the Bruins skating away with a 4-0 win behind Jeremy Swayman. He stopped all 25 shots he faced for the shutout win, receiving support from unlikely sources. Cole Koepke opened the scoring with an unassisted goal midway through the second period. He put a bow on the scoring with helpers to Casey Mittelstadt and David Pastrnak late in the third. Mark Kastelic and Nikita Zadorov also notched goals.
The Bruins beat Vasilevskiy for three goals on 24 shots. Boston has won two of the three meetings with Tampa Bay so far. The underdog has a 4-3 edge in the past seven meetings in this series since November 20th, 2023. The Under is 4-1 in the past five games in this series, too.
Boston is coming off a 6-3 loss at Ottawa and is just 1-3-2 in the past six games at TD Garden. It’s hard to ignore that 4-0 win by Swayman and the B’s in Tampa last weekend but look for the Lightning to return the favor in this one. We’ll also lean low on the total.
As far as player props are concerned, Nikita Kucherov was under the weather, sitting out Thursday’s game in Philadelphia. He is expected to be available tonight. He is a good value pick at plus-money as an anytime goal scorer.

Nashville Predators at Los Angeles Kings
- Leg 1: Kings Moneyline (-215)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Goals (-105)
- Leg 3: Quinton Byfield Anytime Goal Scorer (+270)
The Predators (25-33-7) and Kings (35-20-9) do battle at Crypto.com Arena at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
These teams have met twice this season, splitting a pair of games in Nashville. This is the first meeting in Los Angeles since February 22nd, 2024. The Preds won 3-2 in overtime as slight underdogs (-105) at home on December 21st as the under (5.5) came through. Nashville has won five of the past seven meetings in this series, with three of those wins coming by a single goal.
Nashville is coming off a 2-1 loss in Anaheim on Friday night with Juuse Saros in the crease. Justus Annunen is expected to get the starting nod in the crease with the team playing on no rest. Despite the loss for the Preds, they’re 4-1-0 in the past five games, while the under has connected in each of the previous three outings.
Los Angeles blanked the Washington Capitals 3-0 on Thursday night behind Darcy Kuemper, as he took care of his former team and delayed history as far as Alex Ovechkin is concerned. L.A. has won four consecutive games while collecting at least one point in five straight. The under is 4-1 in the past five games, too, allowing one or no goals in three of the past four outings.
Darcy Kuemper has been red-hot lately, but even if David Rittich is tasked with the start, consider Los Angeles, as it is on a roll lately. We’ll also side with the under, as the total has been hot for both teams lately.
Looking at player props, there is an exciting possibility. Quinton Byfield has five goals in the past five games, as he has been running extremely hot. You can still get him at +270 odds to score, which makes him an amazing value. Including Byfield with the Kings and the under can help you nearly multiply your wager by 10 times if all three legs come through.
