Winnipeg Jets at Utah Hockey Club

The Jets (52-20-4) and the Utah Hockey Club (34-30-12) meet at Delta Center at 7 p.m. ET on NHL Network.

The Jets have managed 108 points with six games remaining in the regular season, as they try to secure their first-ever Presidents’ Trophy. Winnipeg is four points ahead of the Dallas Stars for the Central Division title, although the Stars have a game in hand. The Jets are just a single point ahead of the Washington Capitals for the top point total in the NHL, too.

The Jets have won two of three meetings so far this season, with the home team winning each of the three meetings, with the Over cashing in the past two in the series.

In the previous meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah won as a moderate underdog (+150) by a 5-2 count. After a scoreless first period, Olli Maatta and Logan Cooley managed goals late in the second period to get the home crowd out of their seats. Barrett Hayton and Matias Maccelli made it 4-0 before the Jets were able to get on the board. Nino Niederreiter and Dylan DeMelo made things interesting with two goals in the third before Clayton Keller posted an empty-net goal to put a bow on the scoring.

Connor Hellebuyck was very ordinary, allowing four goals on 27 shots in that game, although he is still a very solid 43-11-3 with a 2.02 GAA and .924 SV% with 7 shutouts this season. He’ll be opposed by Karel Vejmelka, who is confirmed to start. He is 23-21-7 with a 2.56 GAA and .905 SV% and a shutout.

Eric Comrie was in between the pipes for a stunning 4-0 shutout win at Vegas last time out Thursday. The Jets are 4-1-0 in the past five games while cashing the Under in each of those outings.

Utah is 2-3-1 in the past six games while allowing four or more goals in four of the past seven outings. The Over and Under has alternated in the past seven outings for Utah.

Let’s go against the series trends, backing the Jets on the road, and we’ll go low, too.

As far as player props are concerned, Cole Perfetti has managed three goals in the past three games, and he is worth a roll of the dice to nearly triple up as an Anytime Goal Scorer.

Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames

The Golden Knights (45-22-8) and Flames (36-27-12) meet at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 10 p.m. ET, and the game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.

Vegas has already clinched a playoff spot with 98 points, three points clear of the Los Angeles Kings for the top spot in the Pacific Division. The Golden Knights are 18-13-5 on the road, and they have a plus-50 goal differential, which is third-best in the Western Conference.

The Golden Knights might have an even better goal differential if they faced the Flames a few more times. Vegas won 5-0 on Oct. 28 against Calgary, and 3-0 on Dec. 29, with the Under cashing in each of those outings. Both of the games were at T-Mobile Arena. The home team is 5-1 in the past six meetings in this series since Nov. 27, 2023. The Under is 4-0 in the past four games, and 6-1 in the past seven in the series, too.

VGK is coming off a 4-0 loss at home against Winnipeg in a marquee game on Thursday, giving Adin Hill no offensive support. After a six-game winning streak, the Golden Knights have dropped two in a row, totaling just two goals. The Under has hit in three in a row.

For the Flames, they’re five games behind the Minnesota Wild for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, and they have two games in hand with seven to play. However, Calgary needs to get going. It is also three points ahead of the Vancouver Canucks, and four points clear of Utah, so there are plenty of teams vying for that final spot.

Based on the dominance of Vegas in this series, let’s back the Golden Knights, and we’ll go low on the total since the Flames have struggled against both goalies Adin Hill and Ilya Samsonov.

Jack Eichel has not scored in either of the first two matchups, but he has been hot lately. At plus money, Eichel is a strong play as an AGS for this same-game parlay.
