NHL Stanley Cup Finals Same Game Parlay: Game 5 (Golden Knights vs. Panthers)

The Golden Knights were able to bounce back after their Game 3 loss and now can hoist Lord Stanley at home with a win. The Panthers are in a familiar spot being down 1-3. Let’s see if they have one more magic run in them.

Vegas Golden Knights at Dallas Stars

    • Leg 1: Golden Knights -1.5 (+142)
    • Leg 2: OVER 5.5 Total Goals (-122)
    • Leg 3: Goal Scored In The First Ten Minutes (-140)

Vegas was accused of playing more defensively when they held the lead in that loss, which allowed the Panthers to tie the game with two minutes left and win it in overtime. They took that lesson and fixed it because they were notably more physical on both ends and although the Panthers had the same amount of shots, the expected goals were heavily in favor of Vegas (60.46%-39.54%).

Adin Hill continues to play superbly, saving 26-of-28, including all six high-danger shots. In a series where Sergei Bobrovsky was playing well coming, he's shown to be the better netminder.

The big question for the Panthers is the status of Matthew Tkachuk. Undoubtedly, you will see him on the ice, but how much time will he get? Tkachuk logged just 14:13 minutes in Game 4, most of it in the second half of the third period. He's been noticeably absent since he took a rough hit in Game 3, and for someone that has been vital to the Panthers' run, not having him on the ice has shown to impact this team. This is the time when Carter Verhaeghe, Aleksander Barkov, or Sam Reinhart, three guys that were on the team when they won the Presidents Cup last year, need to come in and make an impact.

Even during Game 3, Vegas looked like the better team, and they just played foolishly in the final minutes.

The Golden Knights want to close out this game because we've seen how well the Panthers play at home, and they do not want a winner-take-all against a team that has already made a 3-1 comeback.

Tkachuk will be on the ice, but the number of shifts will be reduced, and he won't be 100%. Vegas has every part of their game working, so it's hard to see them not winning and sending a Miami team home disappointed for the second night in a row.
