Ole Miss Rebels vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Odds & Game Pick (2021)
A master and his apprentice (for now) will face off in Tuscaloosa this Saturday as Lane Kiffin and his #12 Rebels take on the #1 Nick Saban-led Crimson Tide. While Saban is more than used to playing his former assistants, this one could be a different beast as Kiffin has this Ole Miss offense humming along at breakneck speed.
Letâs take a closer look at where the two stand heading into Saturday.

Overview
Through a three-game sample size, this Ole Miss offense has been nothing short of deadly going for 635.3 yards of offense per game and 7.65 per play. The competition goes up a level (or 10) this weekend, however, as the toughest test in college football will welcome Kiffin and company to town.
The play has been strong enough to make Ole Miss QB Matt Corral the new Heisman favorite, as the 3-0 Rebels have ascended to #12 in the country. Also noteworthy, their defense has improved allowing just 21 points per game through the first three.
For the Crimson Tide, a home scare at home vs. Florida as 14-point favorites was enough to hold this team last week, as they routed (and covered) Southern Miss 63-14 in a game largely meant for taking out their frustrations. Saban and defensive coordinator Pete Golding face a different animal this week, however, as Kiffin returns to Tuscaloosa with an improved quarterback and an offense who committed just two turnovers thus far in 2021.

Trends
- The underdog is 5-2 ATS in L7 Ole Miss vs. Alabama games
- The Over is 7-2 in Rebels L17 October games
Bottom Line
If Corral can continue to limit the turnovers he had last season, there is no reason he canât win the Heisman with this offense custom-made around what he does best. Saturday, however, will be a different kind of animal. In what will be Ole Missâs first game in front of fans in two years, theyâre getting one of the most raucous environments available in Tuscaloosa.
While I think they have the talent and game planning to stick around early, I see Alabama applying the pressure late and winning this one by 20 or more when itâs all said and done.
Pick: Crimson Tide -14.5
