Ons Jabeur: 2023 French Open Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

For as much as Rafael Nadal has dominated the men’s side of the French Open with 14 career titles, there has been much more parity on the women’s side. The second major of the season begins on May 28, with the women’s final taking place on June 10. Roland Garros has celebrated eight different women’s champions in the last nine years, with Iga Swiatek (2020, 2022) the only repeat winner in that span. That is much of the reason Swiatek is the overwhelming odds-on favorite to win her fourth Grand Slam, as she looks to capitalize on the void left by Ashleigh Barty and Serena Williams as the next most dominant player in women’s tennis. Is a third title at Roland Garros a formaility at this point for Swiatek, or will the tournament’s parity result in yet another unforeseen winner? Read on for our thoughts and predictions for the top contenders at the 2023 French Open.

2023 French Open Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Ons Jabeur

Here is our betting outlook for the 2023 French Open.

2023 French Open Betting Predictions

Ons Jabeur has the fifth-best odds at many sportsbooks to win at Roland Garros. And while Jabeur was a finalist at two Grand Slams last year (Wimbledon and the U.S. Open), her 62% winning percentage (8-5 overall record) at Roland Garros is her second-worst at any of the four Grand Slams. Jabeur was building momentum after a solid win on clay in Charleston (beating Daria Kasatkina and Belinda Bencic along the way), then was forced to withdraw with injury in the very next tournament in Stuttgart in the semifinals against Iga Swiatek. Jabeur has played just one match since the injury (a full one month later), but lost in straight sets to Paula Badosa in Rome.

2023 French Open Betting Advice & Picks

Jabeur has yet to reach the quarterfinals in five French Open appearances, but could be an interesting contrarian play to win her quarter given her overall success in Grand Slams if you believe the worst of her injury is behind her.
