The Penguins have been using their offense this season to win, as Sidney Crosby leads the team in points, and they’re scoring 3.27 goals per game. Injuries are starting to peak their head, especially on the defensive side, with defensemen Kris Letang, Jeff Petry and Tristian Jarry all sidelined. This has hurt the team recently, as they’ve now lost five in a row.
The Golden Knights are not looking like the dominant team from early on in the season. They are still leading the west in points, but the gap has narrowed. They’ve played several close games recently, with four of their last six games being decided by one goal (2-1-1 in those games).
Vegas also has several players on the blue line questionable for this game, which mean a high-scoring matchup.
