Premier League Matchday 23 Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)
The English Premier League (EPL) is in mid-season, as things are starting to get heated at the top of the table. Arseanal’s lead has shrunk since the New Year began, as they currently lead Manchester City by five points and Manchester United by seven.
Let’s take a closer look at a couple of matches I’m keyed in on this weekend.

West Ham (+240) vs. Chelsea (+120)
Last week’s chaos has made it easy to forget about Chelsea’s ongoing difficulties. Yet, after a 0-0 draw on Saturday morning against Fulham, they find themselves in a difficult situation as they prepare to play a West Ham squad that appears to be turning around.
After starting the year with three wins and three draws in six matches across all competitions, the Irons’ most recent result was a hard-fought draw against Newcastle.
Although the Blues were victorious in a tense match at Stamford Bridge (vs. West Ham) in September, they don’t appear to be playing with the kind of confidence that would allow them to repeat that feat this time around.
I like the value a confident West Ham side provides in this one.
Pick: West Ham (+240)
Leicester (+240) vs. Tottenham (+110)
Even if both teams are riding high following last week’s decisive victories, it’s a shame one will likely suffer defeat in this match. Leicester City’s 4–2 victory over Aston Villa was one of their greatest displays in recent memory, highlighted by the contributions of new players Harry Souttar and Tete.
Spurs, on the other hand, boosted Arsenal’s top-four aspirations by knocking off Manchester City by a score of 1-0. The key question for this game is which team has a better chance of repeating their performance a week later.
Both teams have struggled mightily with consistency, and a case can be made for them both ultimately failing. However, Spurs have been significantly stronger as of late, winning three matches in a row. We’ll back them here in a match where both sides likely find the scoring sheet.
