Premier League Matchday 29 Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)

After a riveting midweek slate of soccer on the continental stage, teams return to their domestic assignments this weekend. The Premier League features eight matches over the weekend. I'll break down three of the contests from a sports betting perspective. Here are my three favorite English Premier League Matchday 29 bets this weekend.

Premier League Matchday 29 Preview & Best Bets (2025)

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Ipswich Town (+320) vs. Nottingham Forest (-120), DRAW (+265) | O/U 2.5 (-120/-105

Let's pick it up on Saturday morning when the Premier League action gets started with four matches at 11:00 a.m. ET. This contest between 18th-ranked Ipswich Town (3-8-17, 17 points) and third-place Nottingham Forest (15-6-7, 51 points) should be a fun one... at least from a betting perspective. Portman Road in Ipswich is the location for this Matchday 29 opener.

Any time I can essentially get "coin flip odds" to fade the 18th-place Tractor Boys, I'm going to take it. This has been a disastrous campaign for Ipswich Town, as they've lost 17 of their 28 matches (60.7%) in the top flight. At home, they're just 1-4-9, which means they're losing at a 64.3% clip.

Ipswich Town hasn't been sharp on either end of the pitch this season. Specifically on the offensive side, they're just 18th in both scoring (26 goals) and expected goals (26.7). Meanwhile, Nottingham has been exceptional defensively, ranking third in goals against (33) and fourth in expected goals against (33.6). Keeper Matz Sels leads the league in clean sheets (12) this season and I think there's a good chance he collects another one here. I'll back the Tricky Trees to take care of business on the road.

Bet: Nottingham Forest Moneyline (-120)

Arsenal (-120) vs. Chelsea (+340), DRAW (+270) | O/U 2.5 (-115/-110

Sunday's three-match slate opens up with a top-four clash between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Blues have climbed to fourth place, owning a record of 14-7-7 (49 points), while the Gunners reside in second place at 15-10-3 (55 points). Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET from Emirates Stadium in London.

I'm never rushing to the window to fade Arsenal's defense, as they're the best in the league (24 goals against, 24.4 expected goals against). However, if anyone's going to be able to find the back of the net against this club, it could be the high-octane Chelsea offense.

The Blues have scored 53 goals this season (third) and they're second in expected goals (55.5). Across 28 matches played, those metrics average out to just under two goals per match. Furthermore, Enzo Maresca's men have scored at least once in five straight matches overall, as well as in 12 of their last 13 outings in all competitions. I like both of these squads to score on Sunday morning.

Bet: Both Teams to Score (-130)

Leicester City (+310) vs. Manchester United (-115), DRAW (+280) | O/U 2.5 (-130/+100

The weekend wraps up with an intriguing clash between Leicester City and Manchester United. The Foxes are currently below the relegation line, sitting in 19th place with a record of 3-8-17. They welcome 14th-place Manchester United (9-7-12, 34 points). This match gets underway at 3:00 p.m. ET from King Power Stadium in Leicester.

In a similar line of thinking to the Ipswich/Forest game, I'm almost always going to fade a relegation-bound team at even-money when given the chance. Even though United hasn't been playing great soccer this season, they should manage to collect three points here.

Interestingly, this will be the fourth meeting between these teams this year. Manchester United is 3-0-0 in the prior games. They won 5-2 at home in the Carabao Cup on October 30th, 3-0 at home in the Premier League on November 10th and 2-1 at home in the FA Cup on February 7th.

Additionally, Manchester United has seen some success recently. They managed to pull out a 1-1 draw against Arsenal last weekend before demolishing Real Sociedad 4-1 in the Europa League during the midweek slate. They'll be looking to score on a Leicester defense ranked 19th in goals conceded (62) and 18th in expected goals against (52.5). Give me Manchester United to win this road match outright.
