College Football Conference Championships Odds, Picks & Predictions: Purdue vs. Michigan
After going on the road and blowing out their arch-rival Ohio State 45-23 in their final regular season game of the year, the Michigan Wolverines have one more game ahead of them to punch their ticket to the CFP. Winning outright as nine-point underdogs, the Wolverines completed the regular season undefeated, getting it done on both sides of the ball.
Playing a brand of smash-mouth football largely forgotten about in today's game, the Wolverines finished the season ranked in the top five in both rushing yards and rushing yards allowed, as well as points scored and points allowed.
Needing a win themselves in the final game of the season to get here, Purdue beat Indiana 30-16 last week on the road to punch their ticket to Detroit. Unlike Michigan, the Boilermakers have leaned heavily on their passing attack this year, coming into this one averaging 279.9 yards through the air per game.
In a game I expect both will want to slow down, look for Michigan to take an early lead and pound the ball.
