March Madness Championship Same Game Parlay Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Leg 1: Lamont Butler - 10+ Points (+125)
Nobody will doubt the Aztecsâ mental toughness heading into this one. Lamont Butlerâs buzzer-beater against FAU sent them to Monday, but San Diego State prepared for his game-winning shot by acting as it has come to be known for, which is to defend and crash the offensive glass. The game-winner was just one of many shots the 6â2â³ guard from Moreno Valley has made for the Aztecs, as Butler has now scored in double digits in eight straight games.
Leg 2: Adama Sanogo â 20+ Points (+230)
To be true to itself, UConn must utilize a variety of offensive alternatives as they have all tournament long, most notably sophomore guard Jordan Hawkins and junior forward Adama Sanogo. They must also commit to a style of defense that is effective but not widely recognized. Sanogo has been the unquestioned leader, however, scoring 20.2 points per game this tourney.
Leg 3: UConn -7.5 (-110)
The Huskies were made overwhelming favorites before the Final Four even began to win their fifth championship, which would tie them with Duke and Indiana for the fourth-most in NCAA Tournament history, behind UCLA (11), Kentucky (eight), and North Carolina (six).
The three other competitors, San Diego State, Miami, and Florida Atlantic, were all competing in their first Final Four. The Huskies were given that distinction in part because they entered NRG Stadium having won each of their Tournament games by double digits.
UConnâs sweeping 72-59 defeat of the Hurricanes in the second national semifinal on Saturday did little to dispel the idea that it is a runaway train. The Huskies are wary of the hype now that the fifth-seeded Aztecs stand between UConn and history.
After starting the season 14-0, the Huskies (30-8) lost six of their next eight games, exposing both their weaknesses and the need for UConn to play well to fully use its talented roster.
In any evaluation of UConnâs title odds, what they did to stifle Gonzaga and Miami-two of the top six offenses in KenPom.com ratings-should not be undervalued. The Huskiesâ defensive planning for the Aztecs (32-6) is their priority after holding the Bulldogs and Hurricanes to a combined 32.8 percent shooting. UConn is wary of San Diego Stateâs physicality and determination.
Unlike SDSU, who has narrowly avoided defeat in almost every game this tournament, the Huskies have been dominant, winning all five games thus far by 15+ points. Look for one more complete performance as UConn rolls to a National Championship.
