San Diego Padres @ Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks' underwhelming season continues as they dropped last night's series opener to the Padres in a 7-1 affair. They'll look to bounce back tonight when they send Brandon Pfaadt to the bump. The Friars counter with Michael King in this divisional contest set for 8:10 p.m. ET from Chase Field in Phoenix.

The biggest issue for the Diamondbacks right now is their offense. Over the last seven days, Arizona is ranked 27th in team batting average (.189) and 25th in OPS (.573). Seven of their last eight games have finished under this total of 9.0 runs. Over the eight-game sample size, the Diamondbacks are averaging just 1.9 runs per game. They'll run into Michael King tonight, who has held the current roster to a slash line of .174/.240/.304 over a limited 23-at-bat sample size.

On the other hand, San Diego hasn't been crushing the ball either recently. They're a bottom-half unit in the MLB over the last week, ranking 18th in team batting average (.227) and 17th in OPS (.669). Over 27 head-to-head at-bats against Pfaadt, the Friars are slashing .222/.300/.296 against him with only two extra-base hits. I'll play the under at this inflated total of 9.0 runs.

Bet: Under 9.0 Runs (-115)

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Denver Nuggets

In Minnesota's two road games against the Suns, Jaden McDaniels added no more than four rebounds. He ultimately grabbed just three rebounds in 34 minutes in Game 4 of that first-round series against the Suns. He averaged about a rebound per a little over 11 minutes in that game.

While Minnesota dominated the glass against the Suns, the Nuggets are typically great on the defensive end. For example, the Lakers added no more than 23.4% of offensive rebounds in any of their games against the Nuggets. With more scoring and fewer opportunities, McDaniels to go Under on his rebounds prop looks like good value.

Meanwhile, Aaron Gordon might've accumulated 13 rebounds in his final game against the Lakers. But the rebounds will be tougher to come by against Minnesota. The Timberwolves are very active and aggressive on the offensive end, leaving Gordon fewer opportunities to grab rebounds. Look for some regression from Gordon on the glass in this series.

Finally, Karl-Anthony Towns closed out the final two games against the Suns with seven threes on 11 attempts. He even finished the first round of the playoffs, shooting 52.9% from downtown. The volume should be there to start this series. We're only asking for two threes!

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins

Could history repeat itself for the Bruins? Last year, Boston held a 3-1 series against the Panthers and lost the next three games, including Game 7 at home. The defense and goaltending continue to be immaculate and have allowed over two goals only once in this series. The problem is the offense has scored just one goal in the last two games.

David Pastrnak is their star forward but hasn't been getting the shot volume or quality he's used to. His shot percentage is only 10.5% in this series compared to 15.2% in the regular season.

The key change the Maple Leafs made was putting Joseph Woll in the cage, as he's been a wall with a .964 save percentage. It's also been the blue line that has stepped in these last two games and allowed 51 total shots on goal.

The question is, will the offense come through? This has been an offensive-centric team throughout the regular season, as they were second with 3.63 goals per game. The defense was average, so how long can they ride this wave? Much of that has had to do with players missing games like William Nylander and Auston Matthews. Matthews hasn't played the last two, and he's in jeopardy of not playing Game 7. Knowing he was in the lineup would give the Leafs a better chance to win.

Boston has been able to contain this Maple Leafs offense, even in the regular season. They just need to figure out a way to score.

Under 5.5 Total Goals (-125)
