Cleveland Cavaliers @ San Antonio Spurs

The Cavaliers (30-16) picked up a 108-101 win in Memphis to kick off a quick two-game road trip, which wraps up in the Alamo City against the Spurs (10-39). The Spurs have actually been pretty decent against the spread lately, going 6-3 ATS in the past nine games, and 12-5 ATS in the past 17 games. That includes a 117-115 near-miss at Cleveland in the first meeting on Jan. 7, easily cashing as 10.5-point underdogs in the 2-point loss.

After a red-hot 9-2 ATS run from Jan. 3-29, the Cavs enter with back-to-back wins and non-covers. The books have pumped up the lines lately, with Cleveland having won 12 of the past 13 games, but the underdogs are starting to catch up, and the books will surely adjust again.

Back the Spurs on their home floor, as they should be able to keep it within single digits, similar to the first meeting, although Cleveland should still get the job done to get another victory.

Bets: Spurs +9.5 (-110)

Florida State @ Louisville

The Seminoles (12-8) have finally awakened from their slumber, and FSU looks to stay hot against the lowly Cardinals (6-15). Florida State has won seven straight in the series while going 6-1 ATS and this is easily the worst Louisville team during that entire stretch. FSU is 6-2 SU and 6-1-1 ATS in the past eight games, with respectable losses to Clemson and North Carolina. Louisville has lost six in a row, although it has picked up the pace against the number. Still, the Cards are 7-9 ATS in the past 16 games overall.

Bets: Florida State -5.5 (-110)

Premier League Best Bets

Arsenal @ Liverpool

The marquee match of the weekend pits Arsenal against Liverpool on Sunday. The Gunners enter the new matchday in third (46 points), while the Reds still hold down the top spot with 51 points. This heavyweight tilt gets underway at 11:30 a.m. ET from Emirates Stadium in London, England. 

These two sides met at Anfield on Dec. 23, ending in a 1-1 draw. They played again a few weeks later, on Jan. 7, in the FA Cup, where Liverpool posted a 2-0 victory in London. I will bump this total up to 3.0 goals and play the under. We could talk for days about how dynamic these offenses are, but the truth is that the defenses have been equally as effective this campaign. 

The Reds bring in the best defense in the league, where they’ve surrendered just 19 goals (0.86 GA/G). The Gunners are right behind them, conceding only 21 times this season (0.95 GA/G). In terms of expected goals against (xGA), the two clubs rank third (24.6) and first (17.1), respectively. With Mo Salah (thigh) still sidelined, I think Liverpool will opt for a relatively conservative approach. They’ll at least want to secure one point on this trip to the hostile Emirates Stadium.
