Brooklyn Nets @ Minnesota Timberwolves
The Nets (21-34) hit the road for the Twin Cities to face the Timberwolves (39-17). Minnesota has won three of the past four games in this series, including a 96-94 win in Brooklyn on Jan. 25 in the first meeting this season. The Timberwolves are 7-3 ATS in the past 10 meetings in this series, too.
Brooklyn has dropped three in a row and six of the past seven games, and they're just 1-5-1 ATS in the seven-game span. The offense has really struggled lately, going for 89.5 PPG in the past two games while allowing 128.5 PPG. That's not good.
Minnesota has posted a 4-1 SU/ATS mark across the past five games, with a lone loss to Milwaukee last time out. The T-Wolves haven't had back-to-back non-covers since Jan. 25-27. Take the Wolves, and don't look back.
Bets: Timberwolves -8.5 (-108)

Washington Capitals @ Florida Panthers
The Panthers suffered a tough 1-0 loss against the Hurricanes, but other than that, they've won 10 of their previous 11, with seven of those wins by multiple goals. Anthony Stolarz will likely be between the pipes, but he's been an incredible backup with 1.97 goals allowed per game and 8.1 goals saved above expected in 17 games. The offense has been great, especially Matthew Tkachuk, who's coming in with nine points in his last five games, and Carter Verhaeghe, who has four goals in his last four.
The Capitals were on a brutal stretch and hadn't won three straight for over two months, but they are coming in having done just that. The big reason for their struggles has been the offense, as their 2.53 goals game is 30th. Still, they've surged with 15 in their past three games. After what has been a brutal season, Alex Ovechkin has finally picked it up, as he has scored seven goals in the last eight games while having just nine before that for the season.
The Panthers are heavily favored for a reason, and while the Caps went on a nice run, Florida is top-notch at the moment.
Pick: Panthers -1.5 (+114)

USC @ UCLA
The Trojans (10-16) and Bruins (14-12) renew acquaintances in the Battle of Los Angeles. The Trojans have Bronny James, which generated a lot of publicity early on, but things just haven't gone according to plan for USC. The Trojans have lost and failed to cover three of the past four outings, going just 2-9 SU across the past 11 games, with a 2-6 ATS mark in the past eight. That includes a 65-50 loss at the Galen Center on Jan. 27 in a game USC was favored by 4.5 points. Back the Bruins, and feel confident in doing so.
Bet: UCLA -4.5 (-120)

2024 Ambetter Health 400
Momentum is at an all-time high in the No. 24 camp, coming off their Daytona 500 victory and returning to Atlanta Motor Speedway, where they've won two of the last four races. William Byron led the field in pass differential (+51) and was seventh in the total speed rankings last week.
He sits No. 2 in Atlanta's Next Gen total speed rankings, leading 172 laps in that four-race span. His odds for a T5 not from our friends in Pittsburgh are as low as +140, so I'm jumping on +240 at BetRivers Sportsbook now.
I'm Chevy-heavy in general this week, yet I'm expecting the Fords to qualify out front. Once that happens, we should get a better value than +155 on Chevrolet to be the winning manufacturer. If that's the case, I'll likely be betting it and perhaps even Hendrick Motorsports as a whole.
Bet: William Byron Top-5 Finish (+240)
