Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts

Many thought the Colts would struggle this year, but rookie QB Anthony Richardson has looked much better than expected. Indianapolis is 2-2, with close home losses to the Jaguars and Rams and big road wins in Houston and Baltimore. Tennessee’s defense has been their strong suit, but Anthony Richardson and the Colts’ offense can hang enough points to win this game. Richardson has also scored in every game he’s played this year. With Jonathan Taylor in his first game back, I like Richardson’s odds of getting carries around the goal line and scoring again.

I also expect Ryan Tannehill to have a solid game. Tannehill has broken 240 yards twice this season and posted 198 yards once, so 200 yards is a very attainable mark for him. This is especially true against the Colts’ weak pass defense, which has allowed 286.5 passing yards per game to opposing QBs, the fourth-most in the NFL.

Minnesota Twins @ Houston Astros

The Twins are onto the Divisional Round after snapping their 18-game postseason losing streak. Their prize for advancing is taking on the reigning champion Houston Astros. The pitching matchup for the series opener sees Bailey Ober take the ball for the Twins while the Astros counter with Justin Verlander. First pitch is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. ET from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

Houston enters this game as a sizable favorite, posting a -155 moneyline price. I will lay the juice in this spot and ride with the champs. While the Twins may have momentum on their side, they’re running into an Astros team that has postseason gumption. This battle-tested Houston franchise is coming off of a 2022 postseason which saw them go 11-2. At home, the ‘Stros were 6-1. They also finished off the year winning four straight games and five of their final six. They’re heating up at the right time.

Now, as for this specific matchup, it’s all about the head-to-head numbers. Houston has owned Ober in the past, posting a slash line of .340/.392/.638 against him over 47 at-bats. On the flip side, Verlander has limited the current Twins’ roster to a slash line of .149/.269/.299 over 67 at-bats. This will be a rowdy Houston crowd on Saturday, and I think the Astros come out on fire. I’ll lay the juice here.

Bet: Houston Astros Moneyline (-155)

Bank of America ROVAL 400

The ROVAL is one of the more specialized tracks, meaning pedigree means a lot here. Aside from race favorite Chase Elliott, perhaps no one has more of it than his Hendricks Motorsports (HSM) teammate Alex Bowman. The driver of the No. 48 is No. 1 in average starting position (5.5) and average finish (6.0) at the ROVAL all-time.

He has four appearances and went home with a T10 every time. Bowman was injured last season at this time and did not race. However, Noah Gragson did drive the Ally Chevrolet and was running P9 before the lap 103 chaos, ultimately finishing 23rd. If you know how Gragson performed in the Cup Series this season, this was quite the feat.

The team and the driver both seem to have a knack for the ROVAL, giving us confidence to back them in the placement prop market.

Top 10: Alex Bowman (+150)
