Pittsburgh Steelers @ Indianapolis Colts

As disgusting as it seems, this is the spot to back the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh is coming off embarrassing consecutive losses to two of the league’s worst teams at home. They’re on the road, and the world has written them off. That’s just where Mike Tomlin wants his team. The Steelers are 38-26-2 ATS as a road underdog under Tomlin. Pittsburgh is also 55-41-1 ATS off a loss and 25-19-2 with a rest advantage under Tomlin.

Sure, Mitchell Trubisky stinks, but how much worse is he than Gardner Minshew? I see Pittsburgh relying heavily on its running game against an Indianapolis defense that’s declining and ranks 29th in run defense EPA. This same unit also struggled to stop a Jake Browning-led Bengals offense a week prior.

Defensively, T.J. Watt cleared concussion protocol, which gives me more than enough reason to trust this defense in a must-win game against a mistake-prone quarterback. Give me Pittsburgh.

Bet: Steelers +1.5 (-108)

NBA Best Bets

Indiana Pacers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

The Pacers had an eventful week, playing for the In-Season Tournament Championship last Saturday in Las Vegas against the Los Angeles Lakers before hitting the road for Detroit, Milwaukee and Washington. The Pacers looked a little tired in Washington on Thursday, falling 137-123, and now they face a back-to-back against a tough team in the Twin Cities.

The Timberwolves picked up a 119-101 win in Dallas against the Mavericks on Thursday as a 2-point favorite. Minnesota is a solid 7-1 SU in the past eight showings while going a respectable 7-4 ATS in the past 11 games overall. On the season, the T-Wolves have covered the number in eight of 11 games on their home court, including a perfect 4-0 ATS mark in four home games against Eastern Conference visitors.

Bets: Timberwolves -8.5 (-110)

College Basketball Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Vermont @ Virginia Tech

The Vermont Catamounts head to Blacksburg, Va., for a tough matchup against an ACC foe. Virginia Tech will have a decisive size advantage. Still, Vermont is definitely no pushover, scoring wins over Charleston and Saint Louis so far, as well as topping a decent Yale side.

However, Virginia Tech is more battle-tested, notching wins over the likes of Boise State, Iowa State and Louisville so far, as well as a nice victory over solid mid-major Wofford. Each of these teams has been skidding, as far as the number is concerned. Virginia Tech is 0-4 ATS in the past four games, while Vermont is just 1-5 ATS in the past six games overall. UVM lost by nine in its most recent road game against Bradley, and it is a much different team off campus than at home. Back the home side.

Bets: Virginia Tech -8.5 (-110)
