NFL Best Bets

San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Jaguars +3.0 (-110)
  • Christian McCaffrey Anytime TD (-210)
  • Christian Kirk 6.0+ Receptions (+110)

After a hot start to the season, San Francisco has lost three straight games. Two of these losses came to the Browns and Vikings, teams that the 49ers should be better than on paper. The Jaguars are trending in the other direction, winning five straight after a 1-2 start. Jacksonville has also just played one game in the 23 days leading up to this game, with a Thursday game and a bye week scheduled in close proximity to each other. I expect Jacksonville to win this game, and I’ll take the three points with them playing at home.

Christian McCaffrey has scored a TD in every game he’s played for the 49ers – an insane 17 straight games. Even if the Jaguars win, this is a good bet, and I’ll keep betting it until it doesn’t hit. While the 49ers’ defense has been good this year, they’ve surprisingly been weak against opposing WRs. They allow 16.1 receptions per game to opposing WRs – the second-most in the NFL. With Christian Kirk averaging 8.1 targets per game over his last seven games, I think Kirk 6.0+ receptions is a great bet.

Parlay Odds: +480

NBA Best Bets

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks

The Heat travel to Atlanta in what should be a highly contested Southeast Division matchup. On Thursday night in Mexico City, the Hawks had a huge fourth quarter to overtake the Magic, led by some heroics from Dejounte Murray. Let’s see if he can roll that hot hand over to Saturday.

Before Thursday’s outburst by Trae Young, Murray led the Hawks in scoring, so he’s still a threat to score any time he has the ball. Miami will also be without Tyler Herro, which could mean Duncan Robinson is back in the starting lineup. That will hurt the Miami defense majorly, and Murray should be one of the biggest beneficiaries.

Murray also benefits from Trae Young taking so much attention from opposing defenses. Atlanta will look to get the offense going early, and Murray will have the best opportunity to score. I love his odds for a First Basket in this matchup.

Bet: Dejounte Murray To Score First Basket (+650)

NHL Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Vancouver Canucks @ Toronto Maple Leafs

The Canucks keep pushing through, as they’ve won five straight games on the puckline. It isn’t difficult when you’re the only team in the top five in points scored and allowed.

Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs have a great set of offensive talent and are thriving. William Nylander’s 21 points are the fourth-most in the NHL, and Auston Matthews leads the league with 13 goals. Still, the defense is terrible. It’s currently 29th in expected goals against and 28th in goals allowed per game.

An excellent defensive team hasn’t been able to contain Vancouver, so don’t expect the Leafs to be competitive. Take the road dogs  that are a much better team head-to-head.

Pick: Canucks Moneyline (+114)
