NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football Best Bets

Cowboys vs. Eagles OVER 42

This matchup pits the undefeated Eagles against the 4-1 Cowboys, who are undefeated with Cooper Rush as the starter. Both defenses have played extremely well, each averaging 13.25 points allowed the last four weeks. That said, the offenses are clicking and I think they have the slight edge this week. Particularly, the Eagles offense that is averaging well over 400 yards of offense and 27 points per game. After a 3-point dud opening night, the Cowboys haven’t scored less than 20 points in the last four weeks.

Odds: -110 on DraftKings

– Dylan Santora

Cooper Rush under 219.5 passing yards

I’ve heard a ton of people who like Philadelphia this week, but I don’t feel comfortable laying this heavy number in a primetime divisional showdown. Dallas has gone on this winning streak without asking too much of Cooper Rush. And while I think they’re facing an uphill battle against the Eagles, I think Rush will struggle mightily against arguably the best defense he’s faced thus far. I’m not expecting many points in general, as Dallas’ defensive speed should be able to limit this high-flying Eagles offense.

Odds: +257

Cowboys vs. Eagles (-5, UNDER 42.5)

The 4-1 Cowboys head to Philadelphia to take on the 5-0 Eagles for a chance at the lead in the daunted NFC East. Both these teams are in the top 4 for points allowed per game averaging just 27.3 points per game combined. These teams are the top 2 in turnover margin as well as in the top 4 for sacks per game.

The one major difference comes with the rushing aspect. The Eagles have averaged 160 yards per game while the Dallas defense has allowed 117 yards per game. Look for the Eagles to use Hurts early and often to establish the ground attack. And while Dak remains sidelined most likely, Cooper Rush will have to take on a secondary allowing less than 200 yards per game.

Watch for a low-scoring divisional bloodbath. Similar to last week, as 5-point favorites the line might be slightly too much, especially against a better defense like Dallas. Look for value on the under.

Lean Eagles -5, u42.5
