NBA Same Game Parlay

Indiana Pacers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

If you select over on all three player props, you’d be needing 66 points from three players. I understand Steven Adams is out. But he was never a significant contributor offensively, anyway.

However, it must be noted that Desmond Bane is currently doubtful. That’s why Memphis players have a higher point total for their props.

Ja Morant hasn’t hit 31 points since January 11. With Bane out, Morant will still get the same looks and shots. Meanwhile, Jaren Jackson Jr. has only reached 18 points or more in two of his last eight games. He’s been extremely poor from the field, shooting 9-for-28 over the last two games.

Lastly, Dillon Brooks has reached 17 points just one time in the last ten games. In January, he shot 35.8% from the field and 22.7% from downtown. He’s also earning 1.1 free throws per game. Take all of the Unders here. These props are way too high.

NBA Game Picks

New Orleans Pelicans at Milwaukee Bucks

The Pelicans have been on a slide with Zion Williamson out of the lineup. They welcomed back Brandon Ingram this week although the results have yet to turn around. Milwaukee got their stars back this week too. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton returned and the Bucks immediately ran off 132.7 points per game in three contests. Two of those games included 150 and 141 point outputs against two of the worst defenses in the league in Detroit and Indiana.

Even during this cold spell for New Orleans the defense has been playing at a competitive level. Adding Ingram back into the lineup will only improve this unit. A top defensive unit should slow Milwaukee down, even at near full strength like we’ll see Sunday. The Pelicans have had one of the best 3-point defenses and the Bucks have been somewhat reliant on getting up 3-point shots, the fifth highest 3-point rate in the league. This could lead to a long day for the Milwaukee offense.

As the Pelicans get closer to full strength the offense should continue to improve as well. This line is just too large for where these teams actually are and too reactionary to recent results. With Zion we’d be looking at closer to a two or three point spread. Obviously, he won’t be there on Sunday, but the Pelicans are still good enough to cover a spread like this.

Pick: 1.1u on Pelicans +10 (-110)

First Basket Scorer

Bam Adebayo (+420)

The Heat have turned it around recently by going 17-8 over their last 25 games and moving up to the sixth seed. The defense has been this team’s nucleus with the fourth-best Adjusted Defensive Rating.

They’re getting a favorable matchup against the bottom-feeder Hornets, who have lost seven of their last ten.

Charlotte lacks a low post presence that will play out well for Adebayo. Miami will feed him the ball from the beginning to allow him to grab the first basket and put up a great stat line.

NBA Prop Bets

Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 31.5 points (-115)

The Bucks had been playing some inconsistent ball that forced them out of the second seed. In that time, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton had injuries, but with both back in the lineup, they’ve won five of the last six.

Speaking of injuries to their stars, that is what the Pelicans are dealing with. They are 3-10 since Zion Williamson has been sidelined with a foot injury and has lost seven straight.

That lack of low post presence will allow Giannis to put up some great numbers. He’s coming in averaging 34.3 points in his last three games, and the Pelicans are allowing a league-worse 67.5 field goal percentage at the rim.

We round out the day with our top college basketball bets.

College Basketball Game Picks

Michigan at Penn State

There are some solid Big Ten matchups tonight and Michigan at Penn State is another among teams on the outside looking in. This is a big game for both teams’ tournament hopes.

Michigan is one of the most inconsistent teams in the nation, ranking 357th in the consistency metric. The Wolverines take care of the ball but their offense sometimes doesn’t click.

Penn State shoots a ridiculous amount of threes, actually ranking 356th in the proximity metric. Over 43 percent of their points come from beyond the arc, ranking fourth highest in the nation. They take care of the ball better than Michigan and rank 20th in the nation at shooting.

If Penn State is off, this could get ugly. There are a lot of outcomes for this game but I trust Penn State’s ability to score since they should get a shot off nearly every possession.

Play: Penn State -3.5

NHL Game Picks

Boston Bruins (+106vs. Carolina Hurricanes (-128) | O/U 6 (-104/-118)

The Bruins are in a spot they haven’t been in all season and have lost back-to-back games.

The thing is, they’re not playing badly — they’re not being outshot, losing face-offs, or being blown out—two one-goal losses, including allowing a tying goal with three-second left and losing in overtime.

It is not the time to go into panic mode after losing two tough road games.

Tonight will be the third tough matchup in game four of this five-game road trip.

You could argue that the Hurricanes are one of the best overall rosters in the league.

Their offense has been incredible, with the best Expected Goals Percentage, and the defense has continued to be one of the better units with the fewest Goals Expected Against.

Carolina has bounced back from dropping four straight to winning six of their previous seven this week.

Whether it’s Antti Raanta or Frederik Andersen against Linus Ullmark on each side, this will be an exciting and physical matchup. This game could go either way, and that’s why I’m taking the under.

Pick: Under 6 (-118)
