MLB Best Bets
Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners
I donât want to get crazy over Bryce Millerâs first start for the Mariners. He had a 1.50 ERA in six innings while striking out 10. But he also faced the Athletics.
Itâs still an impressive feat, but expectations for Miller are now sky-high. If he allows three runs tonight, fans will be shocked.
I wouldnât be.
The Astros have struggled to hit righties. Point blank. But theyâve also hit nearly 25% of line drives against righties and have a lineup struggling to get hits. The lineup still features Alex Bregman, Yordan Alvarez, Jose Abreu, Kyle Tucker, and Jeremy Pena. Eventually, this team will figure it out.
Meanwhile, the Mariners havenât been that much better offensively. Theyâll face Brandon Bielak, a righty with six strikeouts in four innings. Bielak will likely struggle against lefties more. But the Seattle lefties are striking out over 26% of the time against righties. Bielak has enough strikeout potential to retire the Marinersâ lefties.
Iâm taking the Astros at +112.
Bet: Astros (+112)

NBA Playoffs Best Bets
Devin Booker OVER 31.5 Points (-115)
The Nuggets were able to dominate in Denver but failed to take the 3-0 lead in Phoenix. The problem with the Suns is only Devon Booker and Kevin Durant are generating m offense, so how did they solve it? By generating more offense. Durant and Booker scored a combined 86 points on 32-of-56 shots from the floor in the Game 3 win.
This was Bookerâs third 40+ point performance, and he is averaging 36.9 in the playoffs. Phoenix knows their best chance to win this series is to have Durant and Booker out-score the Nuggets. You have to expect Booker to continue shooting at the volume heâs been at.

NHL Playoffs Best Bets
Carolina Hurricanes (+108) at New Jersey Devils (-130) | O/U 5.5 (+104/-126)
The Hurricanes had no problem handling the Devils through the first two games. Theyâve been getting excellent opportunities at the net and had a 55% expected goals rate in these two wins.
The Hurricanes will continue to roll with Frederik Andersen in the crease as Antti Raanta remains out with an illness, but even when he returns, Andersen should remain the goalie. Heâs been excellent in his last three games with a .963 save percentage and 0.97 GAA.
The Devils find themselves in familiar territory. While they know about being down 2-0, the Hurricanes are not the Rangers. Carolina is faster, stronger, and more balanced.
Akira Schmidâs magic might be running out. The New Jersey rookie goaltender was pulled from Games 1 & 2, and we could see Vitek Vanecek starting in this important game.
If the offense was going to struggle with the Canes missing a couple of important skaters, they would have lost against the Islanders. That roster is deep, and neither Schmid nor Vanecek will have an answer.
Pick: Hurricanes Moneyline (+108)
