Cleveland Guardians vs. Minnesota Twins
The Cleveland Guardians will start Triston McKenzie for the first time this season. McKenzie has a career 3.68 ERA through 64 games for the Guardians. In 2022, he finished with a 2.96 ERA in 31 games.
McKenzie has a 4.29 xFIP in 2022 and added 25.6% of strikeouts with just 5.9% of walks. He's not going to earn a ton of ground balls. However, he limited batters to 19% of line drives last year.
He's facing a Twins lineup that has struck out close to 27% of the time against righties in the last 30 days. Minnesota has also walked just 7.1% of the time with their projected lineup and has four batters hitting a wOBA of .289 or lower.
Meanwhile, Joe Ryan will get the start for the Twins. Ryan has struck out 28% of batters and has walked 5.9% over the last month. He's also kept line drives down over the last 30 days, allowing only 15.4% of line drives.
He'll face a Guardians lineup that is hitting a wOBA of .299. This projected lineup has hit nearly 49% of ground balls and under 20% of line drives.
I'm backing the Under.

NBA Best Bets
Miami Heat at Denver Nuggets
In Game 1, Denver got off to a blazing start, winning the quarter 29-20. It was very clear from the beginning that the Heat had no answer for Nikola Jokic. The two-time MVP barely filled up the points column on the box score but was able to dish out assists at will, running the offense from the top of the key and feeding Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray.
Erik Spoelstra is one of the best coaches in the league, and if there is anyone who is able to make the adjustments to slow down Jokic, it's him. However, I don't think there is really anything Miami can do. The size of Denver, especially the starting unit, is something that Miami cannot compete with. Whether they try to take away Jokic's passing lanes or open shots, he's going to have one of the two to play with.
I love the Nuggets to get off to another hot start, as Jokic has averaged 11:07 of floor time in the first quarter during the playoffs, including the full 12:00 in five of the last ten. The Nuggets were +14 in Jokic minutes in Game 1, and I expect that trend to continue. I like the Nuggets to cover the first-quarter spread.
Pick: 1.1u on Nuggets -2.5 1Q (-110)

WNBA Best Bets
Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty
The New York Liberty will take on the Chicago Sky at home this afternoon. The Liberty is led by Breanna Stewart, who has averaged 24.4 points per game on 51.9% from the field.
In their last matchup, the Liberty escaped Chicago on the road, 77-76. Now it'll be time to make some adjustments and improve in the second game against the Sky.
The Liberty shot the ball better, hitting 46.3% of shots. But the Chicago Sky hit 57.9% from downtown on 19 three-point attempts. That's probably unsustainable, especially on the road. Chicago also earned 10 offensive rebounds and had ten more rebounds than the Liberty in that matchup.
But just seeing the Sky struggle to score inside the arc is enough for me to side with the Liberty. The Sky are shooting 37.3% from deep this season. They're not going to hit nearly 58% from downtown. The Sky couldn't score inside the arc against the Liberty for a big portion of the game.
Take the Liberty -13.
Bet: Liberty -13 (-110)
