Super Bowl LIX Sports Betting Odds: Eagles vs. Chiefs (2025)

Last season saw the San Francisco 49ers get a chance at redemption versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, only for the 49ers to fail and lose again. This season, we've got another Super Bowl rematch featuring the Chiefs versus their Super Bowl LVII opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Sportsbooks were kind enough not to waste any time posting the opening odds for the game along with odds for several player prop markets. Let's take a look at Super Bowl LIX's opening line and a handful of player props.

Super Bowl LIX Betting Preview

Super Bowl LIX Opening Line

(Odds via Caesars Sportsbook)

Here is the opening line for Super Bowl LIX:

The line quickly moved to the Chiefs -2 and the total jumped to 49.5. Kansas City's Moneyline odds moved to -130, while Philadelphia's shifted to +110.

Super Bowl LIX will mark Kansas City's fifth Super Bowl appearance in six years and third as the betting favorite. They were favored in the first two (Super Bowl LIV: -1.5 and Super Bowl LV: -3) and were underdogs in the last two going in. The over was just 1-3 in those four games.

Philadelphia has been in four Super Bowls and was the betting favorite in Super Bowl LVII (-2), which they lost by three points to the Chiefs. They were 4.5-point underdogs when they beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

The odds of winning Super Bowl LIX are bound to change as the public starts to put money down and sportsbooks respond accordingly.

Super Bowl LIX Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Sportsbooks often have a couple of hundred markets for regular season games but for the Super Bowl? Yeah, they'll have much more than that, as bettors can bet on almost every aspect of the game.

Exotic markets like those related to the National Anthem, the color of Gatorade spilled on the winning coach, the halftime show, etc., are not available yet. Those will come in the days ahead.

Saquon Barkley Props

Saquon Barkley scored in just eight out of 17 regular season games, with multiple scores in six. While he didn't score against the Packers in the Wild Card round, he had two against the Rams and three versus Washington.

Be sure to check out his rushing yards props (yards and attempts).

Jalen Hurts Props

Jalen Hurts scored a rushing touchdown in 12 out of 17 regular season games this season and in two out of three playoff games. However, Hurts had multiple rushing touchdowns in three regular season games and one playoff game, scoring three times on the ground versus Washington in the Conference Championship.

If you feel like the Eagles will try to ride Saquon Barkley to the Lombardi Trophy with just enough passing to keep the Chiefs defense honest, you may want to take the under. Hurts went under 211.5 passing yards in seven regular season games and two postseason contests.

Patrick Mahomes Props

  • Patrick Mahomes Over/Under 251.5 Passing Yards (-111/-110)

The Chiefs offense is more about efficiency these days and less about the stats (compared to past seasons). Consequently, Patrick Mahomes went over this total just nine times in the regular season but didn't go over it in either postseason game. He only had 182 yards in Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles.

Philly's defense held opponents to under 175 yards passing per game during the regular season and under 250 yards per game during the postseason.

Super Bowl MVP Odds

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Quarterbacks have won seven of the last 10 Super Bowl MVP Awards, and a total of 33. It should come as no surprise that both quarterbacks are near the top of DraftKings Sportsbook’s Super Bowl MVP betting board:

Every other player has +2500 odds or longer. Mahomes won MVP honors in the three Super Bowls the Chiefs won with him at quarterback. Make sure to check out BettingPros for an analysis of these markets and so much more leading up to Super Bowl LIX.
