Overview

Since winning six straight during the middle part of the season, the absence of Derrick Henry has started to catch up with this Titans team, who has now lost two of three, including a bad loss at home to the Texans back on November 21st. This Titans team still ranks #5 in the league in rushing yards and has continued to rely on doing what they do best.

For the Steelers, the up and down final season of Ben Roethlisberger’s career continued last week in Minnesota, as the team couldn’t overcome a terrible first half despite a late rally that saw Roethlisberger eclipsed the 300-yard mark. While the defense has been solid, the Steelers’ 30th rank rushing attack has yet to get going behind an offensive line filled with issues.

Bottom Line

In addition to the Steelers’ rushing woes on the offensive side of the ball, they also haven’t been able to stop the run in their own right. Coming into Sunday, they’re allowing 88.4 yards per game, 28th in the league, which could spell trouble vs. a team in the Titans that loves to pound the rock.

In this one, I look for the mobility of Ryan Tannehill to be the difference and for Sunday to be the nail in the coffin for a team that has slept walk through most of the season.
