Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bets: Odds, Picks & Predictions (Ravens vs. Buccaneers)
In Week 8 of our Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bets: Odds, Picks & Predictions we get to preview the 4-3 Baltimore Ravens vs. the 3-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Each team is dealing with its fair share of injuries on both sides of the ball. The Ravens lost J.K. Dobbins for 4-6 weeks, and top receiving weapons Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman are currently dealing with injuries of their own. On the other side of the field, the Buccaneers will be down another starter on the offensive line, and on defense will be missing a few key pieces in the secondary this week. The good for us is we should get some fireworks throughout the game as each team will be featuring a solid QB in Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady. Finally, the weather forecast in Tampa Bay is 77 degrees with the potential for some showers during the game. This could impact the passing game slightly, but not enough to drastically alter your lineups.

This week we will be highlighting the Same Game Parlay function on draft kings. If you want to learn more about the same game parlay click here. This function allows you to get alternative player props that are more conservative. Even though these more conservative individual props have worse odds, once you parlay them you can find ways to get to an overall bet that will give you plus odds on the week. In this article, we will highlight the parlay and then break down each individual bet.
Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bets: Odds, Picks & Predictions (Ravens vs. Buccaneers)
- Player: Mark Andrews
- Alternative Player Prop: 84.5 Receiving Yards
- Recommendation: Bet the Under
Mark Andrews is coming off a quiet 0-0 receiving line on two targets in Week 7. A lot of people will chalk this up to a fluke game, and normally we would too. However, Andrews is dealing with a knee injury that has kept him out of practice each of the last two weeks. Now on a short week, it's hard to imagine him playing anywhere near full strength after three DNPs at practice this week. Therefore, we should attack his receiving yards under using the same game parlay at 84.5. It is important to note, a healthy Andrews has only gone over 90 yards twice all season so if he is playing at less than 100% then there is a good chance he doesn't eclipse the 85 yards this week.
- Player: Cade Otton
- Alternative Player Prop: Receiving yards over 20+
- Recommendation: Bet the Over
One of the lone bright spots in the Tampa Buccaneers season is the emergence of rookie Tight End Cade Otton. This week Otton will get another chance to start as starter Cameron Brate will be out again after suffering a head and neck injury a few weeks ago. In the two games without Brate this season Otton has averaged a 5-54 on six targets. This week he takes on a Ravens secondary that is tied for eighth in receptions allowed to tight ends so far in 2022. This includes allowing solid performances to David Njoku (7-71), Daniel Bellinger (5-38-1), and Hayden Hurst (6-53) in each of the last three games. Otton's usage as a starter along with the Ravens' troubles covering the tight end as of late make his receiving yards over a solid bet in Week 8.
- Player: Lamar Jackson
- Player Prop: Rushing yards over 50+
- Recommendation: Bet the Over
Lamar Jackson has been a force on the ground again in 2022 averaging 73 rushing yards per game. Jackson has gone over the 50-yard rushing yards mark in every game since Week 1. A lot of this has to do with the skill position players around him being in and out of the lineup all year. This week Jackson will be dealing with similar issues as both his top receiving options Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman are dealing with injuries on the short week. Because of this, we should expect Jackson to utilize his legs a lot to help move the ball against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense. The Buccaneers haven't faced many mobile quarterbacks this season, but in Week 5 they allowed 61 rushing yards to Marcus Mariota, and in 2021 Josh Allen rushed for 109 yards on 12 carries. This matchup along with Jackson's banged-up receiving core should allow him to easily surpass the 50+ rushing yard mark in Week 8.
